Both are great but Christmas vacation is my fav

Christmas Vacation gets my vote for showing the joy that comes with having your extended family (and in-laws) stay at your house during the holidays.

I can watch both movies and laugh at them, but A Christmas Story holds a special place in my heart and family. My cousins used to watch it every year, and as an adult, we still quote it to each other. I use 'NOTTAFINGA!!!' year round at my house.

I think between those 2 movies, it just depends on which one you grew up watching.

For the 90's, it's gotta be Home Alone. My 6 year old for in trouble at school for calling someone a 'little jerk'

'00's is Just Friends, followed closely by Bad Santa. My wife world say just the opposite though. A few years ago, she woke me up from a dead sleep at 2am laughing hysterically at Bad Santa. She's obsessed.
