but I can't think of another actor similar to Clancy.

Now that I'm thinking about it, Aaron Pierre from Rebel Ridge could've been a good Kurgen. He's big as hell and has a unique look.

I dunno. I think he's a pretty decent actor. Lord knows the guy has worked steadily with pretty good directors.

I'll keep an open mind but I'm not a fan of Dave Bautista, as an actor or a person.

They were great together in MoS and their friendship actually goes back to before that when Cavill met Crowe at a soccer match. Or it may have been Rugby, I can’t remember. It’s perfect

I could see Antonio Banderas being an excellent Ramirez.

I have no problem with Crowe as he is a terrific actor but your suggestion of Banderas actually makes a lot of sense. He can handle the action scenes probably better than Crowe and Banderas definitely carries the same level of swagger that Connery had. Different type of swagger but he just oozes it just like Connery. Would have been interesting.

Ok….think it over for a second before you just downvote me to oblivion….and this would definitely be out of left field….for the part of Kurgon….

Vince Vaughn

He may be on the verge of to old pull it off but he is a physically large and could be imposing frame. He has played some dark characters and could play a dark villain with a flamboyant personality similar to the original Kurgon.

Hear me out... this is all hypothetical. Cavill as the Kurgan, Chris pine as MacLeod and Antonio Banderas as Ramirez

I have a hard time seeing Cavill in that role. He’s been a villain before, but not like that. I don’t like Bautista in the role either though. Jason Mamoa would have had the perfect look imo.

I don't understand this sentiment. He has even less range than Vin Diesel. If it weren't for his appearance in GOTG (and probably his very vocal politics) I doubt anyone would know his name outside of WWE circles. He's big. That's about it.

Either of the Skarsgaards could’ve played the Kurgen imo.
