Not confirmed but heavy speculated that post Secret Wars will reset the Marvel universe and all the old X Men will probably die aside from ones like Deadpool

Cyclops is a pretty big casting to reveal wonder what they're holding back for D23 if anything

From the article. Appears to be an up-and-comer. He probably comes really cheap for Marvel at this stage of his career
