Took my son this afternoon as reward for this year if Straight A's.
Safe to say he will keep getting Straight A's as long as this run of Marvel movies continues. Holy crap he has not shut up about it. Pretty sure we will be going to see it again within the week.
Only nitpick of mine (because I cannot remember reading the comics as a kid & the story worked for me giving the 2h 45m'ish run time) is the 3D was very shaky/blurry. Might need to upgrade up to IMAX for the next viewing.

I will disagree here.
At that point in the movie Zemo had what he wanted, to have Captain America and Iron Man trying to kill each other. He completed his goal. Now he was able to sit back and reflect. If you noticed he finally deleted the message from his wife that he kept playing throughout the movie. For him, that was his closure. So to see him pour himself out to the Black Panther made sense and I thought it was a really powerful scene that was beautifully done. Yeah Zemo killed and tortured people, all to get to his final goal. He was fully planning on killing himself and joining his family. That made the Black Panther realize he was going down the same path.

On second watch, Zemo didn't bother me as much anymore. However, I do think Winter Solider was better at the pacing. But it's probably the best at that

I liked CW, but I don't think it's anywhere near as good as the winter soldier. My main issue with the film was the airport scene. I'm sure I'll be in the minority but I think that scene is being way overhyped. It's supposed to be a serious fight yet they're cracking jokes and complementing each other the whole time. Ant Man turning into a giant was cheesy AF. It almost took me out of the movie. Thank goodness for that great 3rd act.

I think Stark's EM headache comment had to do with side effects from the memory sanitizer goggle things he was demoing at MIT.

*Hands you the tube of lube.
Here, you'll need this. Prepare yourself.

Pacing these gazillion super-character movies seems to be difficult as hell. Whedon had a ton of multi-character experience and he couldn't do it. The Russos struggled here and there. Makes me appreciate the X-Men franchise for having success in a few of their movies.

Are you kidding me? I've been waiting for Giant-Man ever since I heard they were going to do an Ant-Man movie.

1. GotG
2. Captain America: Winter Soldier
3. Captain America: Civil War
4. Avengers
Within the MCU, imo
It was great. Spiderman, Ant-Man, and the Airport scene were my favorite parts/moments.

Fantastic movie, about on par with CA The Winter Soldier for me.
My only beef is no Thor, he's my favorite Avenger in these movies, but I understand how his abilities may have outsized the scope of this movie.
The Dr Strange trailer made my balls drop again.

Mine has all C's and I'm going to make him see the new ghostbusters. But come on, you have to mention straight A's from your gifted son twice? I can tell he'll learn how to subtly brag from you.

When they mentioned no hulk or Thor and then cut to the guy eating cereal in Cleveland, I thought for sure it was ruffalo. Idk if they intended it or not but it had me fooled for a second

Lets face it, they were all pulling punches except for Black Panther.
In the 3rd act, it was different. Stark intended to KILL Buck and it took everything both him and Cap had to prevent it.

I'm not into comic books at all and not too big of a movie-goer either.
Went last night w/ some friends and holy shite...the best movie experience I've ever had. I would easily pay the 20 bucks to watch it again.
One question; What happened to Scarlet Johansenn's character? She just left never to be seen again.

1A)Deadpool
1B)CA:CW
Amazing movie on all levels.
How did this movie do Spider-Man better than the movies?

She's free and not on the run, so I suspect she's at the compound.
I mean the official Avengers have to have more than Tony and Vision.

If there is anyone that knows how to lay low for a while, it's Black Widow.

Holy.shite. the majority of the characters are background fodder for Hugh Jackman and JLaw.
It's fine to be critical of the Marvel Studios movies- I've agreed with a lot of your points on CW, but to be so obtuse about the Fox Marvel pictures is absurd.

You're telling me Darwin, Havok, Emma Frost, Banshee, and Whirlwind Boy was better handled than Spider-Man, Black Panther, Hawkeye, or Black Widow? That's just crazy talk. They were very important to First Class and really had the opportunity to shine, like when we meet Darwin, get a few seconds of seeing his powers, and then him being killed off by Shaw. I still haven't gotten over the emotional lose of Darwin, one of the most iconic X-Men ever.
Days of Future Past did an ever better job establishing Bishop, Kitty Pryde, and all of the other mutants that helped hold off the Sentinals while Wolverine was sent back in time.
