Sorry. It’s hard to keep up with the logic of neanderthals.

WTF THR

quote:

There’s an American desire for Black people to lead the charge when it comes to effecting change, and now even a Black superhero film is asked to wage war against MAGA-land, something that never would've been expected of a Captain America film in the past, writes The Hollywood Reporter contributor Richard Newby.

Captain America: Brave New World has drawn a divided response from critics and general audiences. And given how divided America is right now, and the questions concerning what the American Dream even means today, it’s both fitting and frustrating. While the film certainly has its share of structural and technical wrinkles that can’t be smoothed over, a significant part of this division comes down to expectations. And just as it was in the comics, segueing from Steve Rogers to Sam Wilson doesn’t come without controversy.

With America facing historic levels of corruption, apathy, and greed while civil, social gender, immigration, and education rights are being dismantled by the day, nobody seems to know what to do. Our elected officials won’t save us. The wealthy won’t save us. And white Americans, who hold the vast majority of voting power in the country, certainly didn’t save us. So, it’s somewhat ironic, given the conversations surrounding Brave New World, and these movies many have viewed as mere escapism, that there is now a call for superheroes to save us, to call us to action. But it’s not just any superhero who needs to save us, who needs to confront America as it exists now, it’s the Black one.

Nope... you've posted what you've sought out.

There's a difference.

There's zero difference. You're trolling as you attempt to display ... something. You've failing, bigly.

Wow... I really thought your schtick was an act.

Guess not. But at least you kinda sorta admitted to having an agenda.

Once again if you ban like 10 posters from this board things would improve dramatically

Just got out of it, it was a mess. Definitely can tell it was rewritten and reshot multiple times.

New chick was laughable. Harrison Ford looked like he was about to keel over at any minute. Bucky should’ve been in it more. Red Hulk fight looked horrible and lasted like 4 minutes.

The 6 year old didn’t even like it

I just watched it too. I didn't notice the "mess" you are referring to. I was entertained, Mackie was very good, and I can sort of see where they are going with this. Him mentioning that he should have taken the serum....

Yes, this was a rough one. I agree with you on this.

I don't feel the same way. He was typical Ford. Good, but not great.

Maybe. I was hoping. But to me, they are trying to get Sam to stand alone. I think he did a good job.

I'm not sure what you mean by "looked horrible." Visually, it was fine. The actual fight was ok. I think they should have spent a few minutes to tell us how the new vibrainium wings worked.

Overall, I liked it, was entertained, and not upset at the not quite 2 hour runtime.

Just like I said above it seemed like 3-4 movies haphazardly crammed into one

The cherry blossom fight looked like Anthony Mackie green screened into PS2 graphics

Now that is unfortunate. I did see some cool Captain America shoes and stuff at Wal-Mart this weekend. Movie aside, that stuff looked real dope.

My 'agenda' is that I prefer to watch good movies and TV shows.

Also, it would be kind of redundant considering Bucky has a movie coming out in like two months.
