The black dude was the human version of Jar Jar Binks, terrible script borrowing from past SW and way too campy. If it wasn't for the star wars namesake that movie would be compared to the likes of starship troopers and after earth.

Boyega was terrible for roughly 2/3 of the movie. But I think he really settled in to the character in the final act.
Outside of those 2 Phasma scenes. Good grief those were bad.

I like what Disney was, but aside from Pixar l, they're just a bunch of evil child molesters now. Miley, Lindsey and Bynes aren't all fricked up stupid whores for no particular reason.
But they're also cold businessmen with stockholders to worry about. Innovation and artistic risk are not good for their business model. Market research and safe choices are always going to win the day and it showed here.
