While that is true, there's still a damn good bit of action as well.

Good point. Never thought of that.
I just liked Season 1 the best because everyone was still so damn innocent in a way. Walt has not established himself as the notorious meth cook he later becomes. And he was still a high school chemistry teacher.
Oh and he still kept it from Skylar, which was for the best.

oh i 100% agree. but people are like ehh show sucks nothing happened this week etc etc. When the show is not suppose to be action and crazy shite all the time. thats for the people who say the show is to slow

Action punctuates the story in good drama/literature - it doesn't replace it (I'm looking really hard at you Mr. Bay.)

For some reason I don't remember much about the episodes in season 2, like I do the other seasons, I can just about tell you everything about most episodes. Season 2 does have some great moments, 2 minutes into the first episode we get a great line and scene.

Breaking bad has done nothing but evolve into newer forms of awesome.
Phenomenal cast, amazing writing, and luckily on a network at the right time.
The music that is used in that show is great too. I mean..for those who know what im talking about, that was the most epic walk into a nursing home ever.
Im so not ready for this ride to end.

Breaking Bad is so different. On every level possible except for a conceptional level.
Good stories take a good idea, develop characters and shite happen when it needs to.

between last night and the storms knocking out my internet so I couldn't get any work done for a few hours I've rewatched the first 1/2 of Season 2.
It really is a superb season, there's a lot of deep character exposing and giving the audience all the reasons as to why each character's clock ticks so to speak. It's chronologically really short amount of time, kinda makes it seem to blow by. What you don't get with train robberies, mass cartel double crosses, and massive meth cooks you get with really introspective character development into why the future in the series happns the way it does, and each episode is a classic Vince Gilligan roller coaster teeming with drama and intensity that we've come to expect

Sadly, the first half of season 5 has impressed me the least. Something's just "off" about it.
