I agree, I told my buddies watching it with me that they should just kill Jesse and be done with it, but got smacked down for it. Even though they've exceeded my expectations for his character (which were really low) I feel he is holding this show back. We know they wanted to kill him off at the end of season 1 but changed their minds.
I'm sure I'll eat those words at the end of the series but just how I feel when I watch the show.

The episode went from 8-9:04. Sounds like your DVR cut off.

That's what I'm thinking.
This episode had it all. The best I've ever seen.

Transporting blueberry pie out of your stomach. I thought that was awesome.

Something that has been completely overlooked in the discussion and is critical. The quality of meth to the Czech republic is down from 99.9% to 68% if I remember Lydia correctly, and their sales volume is dropping. The new overlords can't live with that situation. My expectation is that they will kidnap members of Walt's family to force him to go back to cooking. Skyler's worst fear ultimately will come true. In the last episode of the last season Flynn was pushing the baby around the pool and they were putting sun screen on the baby. I expect more shite to go down around the pool and it will be drained only after there are corpse(s) in it.
Or maybe Walt sells out Jesse to the overlords so that Jesse is their new cook. But I don't think so because I'm fairly sure Walt's family will be a target of the bad guys before this is over. And that is why Walt bought the M60.
Why Walt needs an M60 and the ricin - well that is getting pretty complicated. One is frontal assault and the other is subterfuge and that is a weird mix.

I wasn't very interested until hank closed the garage door. Not sure what's wrong with me here lol.

They emphasized the children aspect of it too at the end of the episode when Hank wants Walt to give him the kids...and Walt says thats not going to happen.

It doesn't have to be complicated -- it could be that he's fighting a war on two fronts, one that requires brute strength and another that requires more subtle means. Just from your example, maybe he needs to send an overt message to the Czechs and then needs a key figure somewhere else to pass on -- pick your victim, i.e., Hank, Jesse, Skylar, whatever. He's arming himself for what his plans require.
Alternatively, the M60 is a back-up plan for the ricin. Another possibility, the ricin is for himself when he goes out in a blaze of glory. I'm not saying his intent for each is obvious, but I don't think it's necessarily a weird mix.

Jesse has to survive. He is the contrast to Walt's downfall.
Like it or not, if Jesse dies the show's whole message dies with him.

Yep. A couple of other thoughts.
Their cook now has to be Todd, so it is no surprise that the quality of the meth has plummeted.
If so then it's likely that Todd's uncle and his gang will be the ones that come after Walt to force him to cook. That would be poetic justice I suppose.
Another thought - Lydia is setting up to be the next Gus.

Everyone acts like ricin is a fast-acting poison. It's anything but. It takes a pretty long time as poisons go. That's why people use it.
We are talking 2-3 days for Walt to die. That is not conducive with a blaze of glory.

If anyone, it would be the Czechs to come after Walt first

No, Lydia was scared of fricking Skylar. Gustavo Fring would never have been scared of some bitch. She doesn't even have a slight ruthless streak. She'll die in the next couple of episodes.

I don't pretend to be a chemist or a doctor, but in high enough concentrations you'd expect it to be speed up the way it affects the body. Additionally, Walt has proven himself to be highly intelligent -- do you really think he couldn't engineer a way to catalyze the body's reaction to the poison? Like I said, that's not my field, but it doesn't stretch the imagination too far to think something like that could happen.
And hell, he could even ingest the poison in advance and then have his moment.
