That water drinking was one of the funniest bits in the show's history.

Just finished episode. The opening silent scene was brilliant, as was the awkward dinner scene.

Got home just in time to catch the very end of the last scene when Mike busts through the door.
Was out drankin', and it was a kinda shitty slow night with the area universities starting up tomorrow. Kids these days are lightweights. I'm gonna work all day then go to my night class @ 7:30.
Anyone know where some links might be up at?
ETA: Seent it, awesome awesome episode.

I wonder how much Albertson's paid for the product placement and plug.

Ricky Hitler (Todd) keeping the spider and evidence-ridden container can be added to what is becoming a long list of things that could unravel Team Yo.
Todd is obviously been made into a nut case, if not a simpleton at that, maybe even a serial madman. They could have him wanting his share of the cut and really going bat-crap crazy. I don't think we're done with him, yet.
Nice job melting down the kid. I wonder how much money the kid got for his cameo last episode of riding a dirt bike, bottling up a spider, riding off and then showing up at the end to wave and take a nose dive off the dirt bike? How much does one earn on a show like that for that gig? And was that really his arm in this episode? Does he get more money either way?
Oh, and have I mentioned: TED IS NOT DEAD!

Anyone else annoyed as frick by Skylar? Really wishing she would get offed at some point. To me she is not providing any storyline anymore, merely nuisance. I don't know why the hell she acts so outrageously mad/sad at Walt for the situation.

Albertsons is as much a fixture of this show as breakfast. Skyler loves those rotisserie chickens. Personally, I think they're small, expensive, and buying them is like gambling as they don't date and time them so you have no way of knowing how fresh they are. Sam's chickens are better in every way; larger, cheaper, timestamped, and they taste better, too. I'd say Sam's makes the blue meth of rotisserie chickens.

I think it just solidifies what Walt told Jesse. That the business is all he has left. Skylar is off the deep end, if he cashed out and went "clean", then his family life still has no hope for normalcy.
Just when you get tired of Walt's hardheadedness and ego, he explains the Grey Matter story and you can identify with his thinking.

Yes.

I know, she was riding the gravy train all the way to the bank in S4. As I brought up before and someone told me, after Walt took care of Gus, she actually saw how dangerous he has become. Now we have scared Skylar.

yeah i am, so that means the writing is just that good. They want you to hate the person who is defending her family and root for the bad guy. It's absolutely genius.

See, this part bothered about last night episode. He said all he has left his is his business. Ok that's not true at all. Sure things between him and skylar will never be the same, but his son still loves him and he still has a little baby girl to take care of.
He could quit cooking, take the 5 mil and get a divorce and have split custody... You know... Like people who get divorces do.
Instead he wants to continue down his path of inevitable destruction all because he's in the "empire business"
Guess he doesn't care about his kids anymore? Or he doesn't think he can mend his relationship with Walt jr and be there for his little girl. To me, to continue cooking makes no sense

she hates him, she would bash the hell out of him and make sure his kids would hate him. She has to have some reason why all this has been going on and she won't want to blame herself. She'd move as far as possible from him and not think twice.
He knows he can't salvage his relationship with Skylar and as long as she is around he can't have a true relationship with his children. Therefore all he has is his business and he wants to be the best at it.

I have no idea how a divorce works to be honest, but the mother can just take the kids (one of which who is about to be a legal adult) and just take them away from their father?
I'm saying, I think he could have a normal relationship with his kids, regardless of how much skylar hated him. I don't see why he couldn't.
AndI think your theory of skylar getting the kids to hate him is way off. Walt jr already thinks skylar is the bitch and the girl is like 6 months old. Hard to convince a little girl to hate her daddy if he's good to her

It does appear that in one episode Walt has gone from telling Skyler he will be loved again to realizing she really does hate his guts.
I know I always harp on these things, but again, another blunder for Team Yo could be Walt telling Skyler one story about the watch and Hank another.
I'm a stickler on these things. I always remembered what a top crime-solver once told me: "99 percent of the time it's their mouth that reveals them to us. But every once in awhile, you get the cold-blooded murderer who can cover his trail and keep his mouth shut."

Was it ever discussed or mentioned why down the road the other two people that started Grey Matters along with Walt, never offered Walt a job at Grey Matters?
I remember the other two and Walt seemed to have a decent relationship and even offered to pay for his medical bills.
Just curious if that was ever mentioned, figured they would want someone with Walt's brain and talent at least doing some research for them and not make him be a science teacher (Not that there is anything wrong with being one)
Guess his pride wouldn't let him?

If I remember correctly it was a love triangle that didn't go Walt's way.

The reason we still have to stomach Skylar is she will be the downfall of the whole operation.
