Especially when he's never shot one before and IIRC is relying on Internet instructions on how to use it. Plus he's going against at least five nazis who know how to use weapons.

Very plausible...which is why I don't think it will happen. Vince Gilligan and Co. have been skull fricking my best guesses about what's next for 60+ episodes. I expect it ends on that same note

Seeing the episode title for the first time,, I immediately thought of the Marty Robbins song.
I haven't read the entire thread but...
The song's protagonist goes into hiding after killing someone but is drawn back to El Paso after time and is eventually shot and dies in the arms of his love.
Walt dies in the arms of his ex from Grey Matter.

Yeah if Walt uses that thing someone is going to have to help him.
All I know is that whatever we think is going to happen at the end, we're probably all wrong.
