I’m doing a slow rewatch of Breaking Bad and I’m enjoying the hell out of it.

I burned through it during the summer back in 2014 and I don’t think I was able to really appreciate each episode. With that said, it’s still the best television show I’ve watched.

Did everyone else enjoy the rewatch more than the first time? Obviously the surprises and shock won’t be there.

I think my wife has watched it four times from start to finish.

I know she's seen some individual episodes way more times than that.

I just rewatched most of it. I'll watch the last season this Sunday when it marathons on AMC. It's still great. Season 2 gets slow, and I thought maybe it had lost a bit on rewatch, but the finale and season 3 onward confirms it as one of the greatest.

I'd forgotten how much I hated Skylar. I skipped over her scenes a lot because she just infuriates me. She was hanging it out there for Ted long before she knew Walt was a meth dealer, and then she gave the piece of shite 600k of Walt's money.

I'd also forgotten that Walt really did poison the kid with the lily of the valley plant. I thought maybe they went too far with that unnecessarily, but I guess it shows Walt's progression to evil.

I also hated Jesse for being an emotional bitch and I wasn't wrong about Hank either. He was more than a little racist.

Also, Gus is the most forgiving drug lord in the world. A real drug lord would have bumped Walt and Jesse off a dozen times.

I know this isn’t a popular opinion, but I never liked Hank. Something about him got on my nerves a little.

I’m on a rewatch too. Third time. I’m on box cutter as well . The scene with Gus coming down the stairs and methodically changing his close is awesome

For some reason I didnt really like the show when I watched it the first time. The second and third time around it was my favorite show ever.

I'm glad I watched it the first time, but I don't think I could do a rewatch.

The acting was incredible. I just didn't love any of the characters enough.

On a second viewing love that the character’s personalities and their morals are completely reversed from a “likeability” point of view. It sucks you into believing Walt is the great guy who’s doing what he has to for his family (virtuous), and everyone else stands in his way and is this wrong in some way.

And then midway through you find yourself defending pure evil in the face of reason because you like Walter better than that wet blanket Skylar or that “cop with hack jokes just like some other cops you’ve come across” Hank.
