He should've been the one at Canto Bight in TLJ. Just gambling and drinking his sorrows away. Then after hearing of Han's death, he is convinced to help fight against the first order.

Whether you're right or wrong as to the quality of TLJ is not the point. The point is, enough whining about it. We get it. My 11 year old can cope with disappointment better than most of you.
I'm all for a fun rant but this constant drama and beating of a dead horse with Star Wars has really lowered the quality of the board in the last year or so and that kind of sucks.

I agree, the movie sucked now get over it. Whoever is posting these threads about Star Wars needs to stop because nobody wants to watch this shitty Disney owned turd. You really hit the nail on the head Murray. People should quit trying to make Star Wars a thing because even a decent Solo movie was shunned and episode 9 will just underperform so bad Disney will have to change Star Wars land into Marvel Town or some shite. So please, for the love of God, just let Star Wars die peacefully. There’s no need to make fun of a cripple on life support.

Honestly, there was no need to add in Benicio's stuttering character or Laura Dern's character (purple hair jokes aside). Those two roles could've been easily filled by existing characters from the original trilogy. Give Ackbar the heroic suicide moment, and use Lando in place of del Toro and I think you eliminate much of the backlash immediately.
It wouldn't help with the shitty story and script, but it would help people get over it much easier.
