The release date for the upcoming “Bluey” movie from Disney and BBC Studios has been revealed.

The CG-animated feature film based on the hit Australian animated children’s series is set for a global theatrical release on Aug. 6, 2027. After hitting theaters, the “Bluey” film will be available to stream on Disney+ and on ABC iview and ABC Kids in Australia.

The “Bluey” movie is written and directed by series creator Joe Brumm and is a Ludo Studio production. It will feature voice talent from the series, including Melanie Zanetti as Bluey’s mom Chilli and David McCormack as dad Bandit. Richard Jeffrey (“Bluey” Seasons 1-3) will co-direct with Amber Naismith (“Happy Feet,” “The Lego Movie”) producing. Series composer Joff Bush will provide the score.

Man, that's a long time from now. I hope my boy still likes it by then. He's almost 6 now.

Damn

My little girl will be nearly 8 when that comes out. I wish it was sooner

My little boy will still be into it, though

That's my concern. My daughter will be 6 in Aug 2027, so I think we'll be alright?

What are they going to tell us next, we get Peppa Pig in 2031?

My twins are 8 right now and are already a little past it. They don't mind and are happy to watch it when it's on, but it's not something they just pick anymore.

Though it would be nice to enjoy it with them, I don't particularly need them to sit down for an hour and a half to watch a Bluey movie when it comes out. It won't be an In Theater thing, but I'll definitely stream it when it hits D+

My girl will be 12 by then. IDK if she's still going to want to watch it by then.

Not sure what some of y'all are going on about. Nearly 100% chance every member of my family will see this opening weekend, including the college student.

Honestly surprised it’s taken this long given how insanely popular the show is

From what I have seen, the writers have wanted to avoid driving the show into the dirt.

They seem to care about their product.

Gotta love when executives stay out the way and let creative be creative.
