That was a jumbled mess to close it out.
I guess losing the tax credits really messed up this show because they mailed it in.
Meg must have wanted out for season 3 because her character basically left the show after the first couple of episodes.
They don't revisit the grandkids until the end.
Was Kevin Roy's son?
Awful ending to the show.

Spoilers*

Episodes 9&10 felt like they were 4 hours long each and the equivalent of watching a poorly painted wall dry.

They end the mom's storyline with 'Global Warming' as the reason the sale fell through? Give me a break. The writers must've been protesting the cancellation and dgaf @ the end.

It is so disappointing for this story and series to end this way. fricking sucks

To all that had a part of this series getting cancelled and ending the way it did, there is a big fat hairy aids dick waiting for you somewhere.

Just finished s3 today.

*spoilers*

Most gratifying ending would've been for John's confession to take the whole Rayburn family down. John gets life, Kevin gets life, Meg gets accessory to murder, Rayburn House gets set on fire or some shite, and O'Bannon gets out.

They really screwed the pooch with the ending. I don't think anyone in their right mind by the end of this series wanted any of the Rayburns to survive. What a waste of an otherwise great series.

Episode 9 was baffling.. I think it was supposed to show how John starts to realize he needs to come clean to move on, but that really was accomplished in the finale anyway. 9 was basically a confusing waste of time.

It seems like the writers were trying to stretch the series out for another season but then had to wrap it up in a hurry.

yea, they may not have had a choice on this one. Depends on how much time they were given to wrap it up. The decision to go with that ending was probably not the writers. They have done a fantastic job with this series up to this point

My guess would be they were told to wrap it up and be done with it.

Ozzy literally had no purpose in this show.

You could remove every single one of his scenes from both seasons, and nothing would be lost.

John Leguizamo was great, but nothing about him made sense this season.

I'm not finished with it but Sally has been so bad this season. The acting on her part is absolutely horrendous.

Such a disappointing ending. Episode 9 was an episode of just jumbled hallucinations. Meg was cut out in the middle of the season which sucked. Show started out great.. ended with a dud

Sounds like a lot of bad reviews:

Is the season worth watching at all or should i just skip it?? I wasnt exactly reeled in by ep 1.

Also bugged me that the defense for Eric just threw in the towel after Sally's testimony. Any attorney worth a damn would have checked her story. How hard would it have been to determine her father never went to jail and prove she was lying on the stand?

To be fair they threw in the towel because of that and also because of Chelsea getting caught stealing a pill blew up the credibility of their one big witness.

It was two huge blows back to back. Pretty much destroyed their real shot at putting another suspect at the crime scene.

As for this season, I really liked it until episode 9. Not sure I've seen a show go so far off the rails.

He made some mistakes but they were minor compared to what he got. He was a small time drug dealer and that was about it in the show. He may have done worse things but thats all we saw

No way he deserved to go to prison for 30 years with a murder wrap.

Not a huge fan of how it ended, but I enjoyed the whole series. The creators basically said that had 5-6 seasons planned, so they had to pare everything down. Still so many questions:

Did anyone else get the feeling that John somehow got to Belle's phone? I'm gonna choose to believe he did and then he lied to Nolen and just kept on livin with the ghost of Danny.

Also got the feeling Kevin was Roy's kid and can't believe they left that ambiguous.

We got the feeling that Danny was Roys kid. Which is why Sam Sheppard didnt feel so bad about kicking the shite out of him

I get the whole Kevin argument too. He said he loved him like a son.

Spoiler alert
+++++++++
John couldn't have Kevin turn states evidence for fear that Roy would divulge what was done for Kevin to escape being found guilty for Marcos murder. We were led to believe Roy died, but were never provided proof, other than the nurses comment to contact the next of kin, but Roy earlier admitted he had no family.

The stretch run of the show wasn't tightly scripted and contained a lot of holes. Episode 9 was awful and really added little to nothing to the whole ending.

What did we get from the show, besides some really good acting? While there was a family angle to the show, the real message from the show is that man will do, say and conspire in doing just about anything to avoid getting caught - all in the name of family.

I'm on Ep 9 and I hope I'm not he only one that couldn't figure out WTF was going on.

This episode is so nuts it is going to make or break the series for me.

Just finished. Spoilers

Ugh.

It's a binge series so I don't feel like I was as cheated as I have been in the past like with the ending of Dexter for instance.

It was a great series until the last two episodes. I hate when the ending of a show is screwed up by off camera stuff.

It was soooooooooooo weird and sloppy.

I love how Kevin was caught because his wife "forgot to turn off the GPS on her phone" as if anyone running from the Feds would be dumb enough to take their phones and even if they had taken their phone, turning off GPS wouldn't have mattered I'm guessing.

Bad deal.

Now on to House of Cards.
