Excellent. I watched it some when I have a couple of months of Starz for free but was never able to finish it. I have Hulu, so I'll be adding this to my stuff when I get home today.

Great series, but I don't understand why half of the characters need to be bisexual.

I got a downvote for that?

I don't have anything personal against bisexuals/homosexuals, but they are grossly misrepresented in so many shows and movies now, and it adds nothing to the quality IMO. It just seems ridiculous.

If you go back and read a few pages there was a pretty long, ridiculous debate over that subject.

I'll take your word for it. I guess the downvote is one of passion. At least I understand now.

I finished S1 last night. Although it seems a little overrated so far, I am liking it and I liked how S1 ended. I am definitely interested to see where it goes from here.

On another note, did they know they were going to get multiple seasons at first? Because the way they ended S1, it was no "ending" at all, and basically had to lead to a S2.

There are still some things I am confused about, but I have a feeling that reading episode recaps online should help straighten me out on most of those things.

I would think so but I'm not %100 sure. S1 didnt catch on that much while it was being aired. But before S4 came out they announced it wasnt getting renewed for a 5th.

It was probably a pretty expensive show to make and Starz just doesnt have the viewers/subscribers that HBO has to carry an expensive show that isn't really popular at the time. That's just a guess too.

I finished it last night and it was incredible, its in my top 5 series all time.

What was great about it was everything someone did had a price and had to suffer the consequences, nothing was cheap, whatever you did you had to face the music in Black Sails.

Ending was perfect.

Since its so short I'll probably watch it once a year going forward.

Characters were all great, I loved everything about this show.

That goddamn Urca Gold

Teach

Was awesome to see how Vane was fleshed out.

man what a show

Also, there is something about Charles Vane that looks....off. I don't know what it is. I can't tell if he's like a really short dude and it makes him look strange, or the way they dress him, or what. But there is something about him that just weirds me out. ?

I laughed reading this lol this bugged the shite outta me too. I guess because hes such a thug but looks like a runt on camera

I remember googling last year when i watched it last and apparently he's 6ft. So its some weird optical illusion i guess

Black Sails is a great watch. Starz has had a few entertaining series. The main Starz network is re-airing two of their complete Ken Follett series.

Today they showed all eight episodes of The Pillars Of The Earth (2010) from 7AM-1:30PM.

IMDb

Tomorrow they are showing all eight episodes of World Without End (2012) from 7AM-1:50PM.

I am definitely going to keep watching. I watched S2E1 last night, and noticed it was much better than S1. I said that the show didn't hook me like I had hoped it would, but I am definitely hooked enough to finish it out. And S2 is already an improvement after only one episode. Even though the CGI seems a little weird at times, the production value of this show seems pretty high.

Season 2 is fantastic. Its probably my favorite season of the show. Season finale is probably my favorite episode of the series.

They should of had more of Captain Lowe in season 2, that dude was kind of terrifying.

I read about his history and apparently he was brutal in real life.

I just finished Season 3 last night. I've got a 2 year old and a 4 month old baby right now, so I'm lucky to get 4-5 episodes a week. I watched Seasons 1 and 2 when they aired, so I can't really remember how good S2 was. It would be hard to be better than S3 I just watched.

Well I just finished S2E2 and holy shite, this show is picking up a TON.

In this episode alone Flint retook his captainship (which was awesome), Rackham named himself a captain, ole girl and Max start banging on the reg, and that psycho captain is starting to take over and beheads his own quartermaster in front of everybody in the bar.

I’m officially hooked now...that episode was fricking awesome.
