I just got to the part where he was tortured, then Spanish are attacking and one of the crew cut him loose. I had a few years gap between S2 and picking back up S3 a couple of weeks ago. I don't think I saw it coming how much I would end up hating him

So where is everybody at on the 1st and/or rewatch?
I finished s4 ep3 last night.
The guy who plays Rackham is just a fantastic actor. Too bad he isnt in more stuff.

I started getting into some other shows after I watched this one and its a let down, no one can measure up to Black Sails.

Silver has just told Max that the Urca gold is still there and that he is looking for a crew to go get it (I assume Rackham). Max also seemed to offer Anne Bonny a partnership or some shite like that, while she just sat there looking weird and said nothing the whole episode. Abigail fricked over Vane and stole the Ashe girl. And Dufresne approached Hornigold to convince him to capture Flint and turn him over to London (I think).
Lots going on and it is getting pretty good.
Oh, also, Daddy Guthrie gets off his carriage and sees a roadblock full of dudes. I assume that may end up being Vane's people?
I will say that I would like to see the Urca gold storyline come to an end soon. That has been looming for the whole show to this point, and I'd like them to stop getting bogged down and sidetracked with things and get to either finding it or not finding it. It's holding the show back a little bit IMO.

Max was an ok character but I didnt buy her ending and ended up not liking her.
Great characters over all. Great to see classic pirate tales in a tv show. And those ships and naval battles.
Eta. Would like to have seen one drunken swashbuckler character for some levity and womanizing.

Stunning change when England took over and the tavern became a boring place. Good microcosm of government rule (too much governing is a bad thing).

I finished Season 4 Wednesday night after watching the first 2 seasons when they originally aired then took a hiatus while having kids.

One thing I wasn't certain about the ending (possibly caused by alcohol): was Flint going to get Thomas out of the plantation in Georgia or was he going there to join him? I took it as joining him since he was taken there in cuffs
