I was meh on USS Callister. I'm on the third episode now, and none of them have truly wowed me.
But, even a decent episode of Black Mirror is better than many alternatives.

Yeah, Archangel and Crocodile were ok.
Like i said earlier, Hang the DJ was the best so far. Metalhead was intense. I'm not sure it being shot in black and white added anything though.

Just finished Hang the DJ. I liked it a lot, but maybe because the lead lady was my kinda gal.

Callister was good but...sort of lame in the same vein. I mean, it was just a retread of the stuck in a video game 80's premise coupled with Twillight Zone movie where the petulant kid controls his entire family inside the house...and they all kow-tow to him and kiss his arse to not be turned into a monster, etc.
They even copy the scene from Twilight Zone Movie where the kid blanks out his sisters face to silence her.
I mean that episode was just a Sci-fi version of the Twilight Zone Movie with that kid.
Episode 2 could not get into.'

I have only watched hang the Dj and ark angel so far and I didn't think either episode was particularly strong.

USS Callister was great.
Arkangel could have been better, good premise poor execution.
Crocodile was solid enough. I like the escalation in that one. The twist was difficult to digest.

Hang the DJ was really good. Reminded me a bit of San Junipero.
USS Callister and Hang the DJ are definitely my favorites so far.
I think Arkangel could have been done better. They skipped way too much of the girl's upbringing during adolescence.

This was the best season yet, in terms of consistency of quality across all episodes, IMO. USS Callister was better than most movies I've seen in the theater in 2017. Hang the DJ and Black Museum were my favorites, though.
