there was an episode of ER in its first couple of seasons
old man (cant remeber his name, was in alot of things), is with his wife of xx years in er when she dies. he grabes her hand and sings a love song too her, kisses her one final time, then slowly shuffles away. they had the whole cast near them and they were all "in tears" as well

scurbs- where cox loses the 3 patients bc of rabies

The end of the Scrubs episode "My Lunch" always gets me...
This episode and the 2 that followed were the best Scrubs episodes. In fact, it peaked and went downhill form here.

John Ritter's death. Wasn't really during the show, but I think it qualifies.

Season 8 was suppose to be where it ended, instead, they created the blackeye known as season 9 with an all new main cast...

i can't remember the first ending to scrubs. i know they did that BS episode where they were like in a fairy tale or something.

is it perhaps the one where JD walks down the hall in slow mo? or something like that?
my memory is fuzzy.

i only watched ER for a few seasons but i think it was season one where anthony edwards loses a mother during childbirth.

Last 5 minutes of LOST.

This. As Jack was dying and Vincent came to lay down next to him, I completely LOST it. Simply the best finale of any series ever IMHO.

Mine have (all, I think) been listed so far, but I am adding video links..

Fresh Prince - Will's Dad

Scrubs - Cox/Jordan's Brother

Scrubs - Cox/Rabies

Man, Scrubs may have used music better in its scenes than any other show in history.

ah ok, i remember now. thanks.

spoilers below on "the shield" (and sesame st i guess)

i also enjoyed the six ft under final scene.
lem's death in the shield.

for me there are plenty in Lost, but the other day i was thinking about Sayid interrogating henry gale, asking him about his wife.

also i don't think it was all that sad, but i just want to be the first to post becky's death in SBTB.

lastly......

[Big Bird gives pictures that he drew of everyone.]

Big Bird: And last but not least, ta-da!
[Shows picture of Mr. Hooper.]

Big Bird: Well, I can't wait till he sees it!
[silence]

Big Bird: Say, where is he? I wanna give it to him. I know! He's in the store.
Bob: Uh, Big Bird. He's ... he's not in there.
Big Bird: Oh. Then where is he?
Maria: Big Bird, uh, don't you remember we told you? Mr. Hooper died. He ... he's dead.
Big Bird: Oh yeah. I remember. Well, I'll give it to him when he comes back.
Susan: Big Bird, Mr Hooper's not coming back.
Big Bird: Why not?
Susan: Big Bird, when ... when people die, they don't *come* back.
Big Bird: Ever?
Susan: No, never.
Big Bird: Well, why not?
Luis: Well, Bird Bird, they're dead. They ... they can't come back.
Big Bird: Well, he's *gonna* come back. Why, who's gonna take care of the store? And who's gonna make my birdseed milkshakes and ... and tell me stories?
David: Big Bird, I'm gonna take care of the store. Mr. Hooper, he left it to me. And I'll make you your milkshakes and ... and we'll all tell you stories, and we'll make sure you're okay.
Susan: We'll look after you.
Big Bird: Hmmm.
[Another awkward moment of silence.]

Big Bird: Well, it won't be the same.
Bob: You're right, Bird Bird. It's ... it's ... it'll never be the same without him.
Big Bird: Mmm.
Bob: [crying] But you know something? We can all be very happy that we had a chance to be with him and ... and to know him. And to love him a lot when he was here.
Big Bird: Yeah.
Olivia: And Bird Bird, we'll still have our *memories* of him.
Big Bird: Well, yeah ... yeah ... our memories. Right. Why, memories, that's how I drew this picture. From memory. And we can remember him and remember him and remember him, as much as we want to! But I don't like it. It makes me sad.
David: We all feel sad, Big Bird.
Big Bird: He's *never* coming back?
David: Never.
Olivia: No.
Big Bird: Well, I don't understand! You know, everything was just fine! I mean, why does it have to be this way? Give me one good reason!
Gordon: Big Bird, it has to be this way ... *because*.
Big Bird: Just because?
Gordon: Just because.
Big Bird: Oh.
[Looks at Mr. Hooper's picture.]

Big Bird: You know, I'm gonna miss you, Mr. Looper.
Maria : [crying] That's *Hooper,* Big Bird, *Hooper.*
Big Bird: You're right.
[Everyone gathers around Big Bird for a hug.]

Big Bird places his drawing of Mr. Hooper on the wall.

Rescue Me spoilers...

I don't watch the series, but I have seen the scenes from Rescue Me where Leary's kid I think gets hit by a car and dies. And even not having watched the show ever, it's sad as shite to watch.

Yeah. The Rescue me one is defiantly a tear jerker.

Great show....although the last season was weird. Not sure how to explain it...just weird.
