I agree with you 100%. But, if the shoe was on the other foot……RACIST!! That’s what people have a problem with!

The real question is, have you been invited to a cookout?

Like formally?? Nah, but I see them occurring in parks, and have even been invited to grab a plate if my kids end up playing with kids at the cookout. They aren’t like secret or exclusionary gatherings in the woods or under the cover of night

Are the majority of SEC tailgates, which are overwhelmingly all white, racist or exclusionary?

I’m sure you and yours are handing out invites at the APA frat house every week

It’s only week 4.

I agree. They’ve done an awesome job so far. It’s early. Azah doesn’t like Hannah. Tiffany questioning Azah. Soon they will say Derrick is worthless. Blah blah.

Exactly it is a ticking time bomb.

The back and forth over it being racist is annoying af. This season thread is struggling already, but the last few pages are nauseating.

I was attempting to be sarcastic with my question earlier. Inviting a white person to “the cookout” has been a meme on Black Twitter for years. That is where their name originated from.

The question should be if SEC tailgates were all white, would it be racist or exclusionary? Then we could have a whole discussion about everyone’s personal definition of racism, power dynamics and the history of Black contestants on the show.

I have a few Alphas in my family so I don’t know why that would be an issue.

Let a group of white people form an alliance and let them say it’s strictly because they are white and Twitter would blow up and Julie Chen would probably intervene. FACTS

IMO the annoyance over the Cookout is misguided. The houseguests are just banding together with similar people. No more than jocks going with jocks or outcasts with outcasts that we have seen from previous seasons.

The annoyance should be placed at production or whoever makes the final decision on casting. Its very obvious the POC in the house are much smarter than the non-POC as a whole. I am not just saying game wise, but in their lives in general. That would have shown up casting interviews.

Its very clear to me production stacked the deck so that POC will dominate and one of them will win.

Yeah ive tapped out on this season. Never missed an episode. But hard to watch when you know the white house guest is always gonna be the one who is evicted every week regardless of skill. Sunday will be the first episode i have ever missed.

I also think a lot of attention is being thrown the cookouts way because their honestly isn’t much else to discuss up this point.

Outside of Frenchie’s antics the season has been boring as shite. Just watch some of the shite from BB11. That’s what we need back.

People wanting us to not talk about the race shite are fricking delusional. That was the most racially motivated hour of tv ive seen in a while and its the driving force on this whole fricking show.

BUT.....The long term effects of the Cookout are farrrrr more damaging to Big Brother and noone is talking about that specifically.

Right now its surviving because the non-blacks (lets not say bullshite like POC because its very clearly that they only care about blacks) arent completely aware of it.

But guess who are aware of it? Season 24 contestants. and 25 and 26.

Next season when CBS, by following their own decree, continue to overpopulate the house with black people, all of the white contestants will just immediately, and rightfully be on fricking HIGH ALERT.

This show builds on previous seasons. It doesnt happen in a vacuum.

and now...

This show is going to become a race war lol.

I think the negative impacts have been mentioned here, and for sure are being brought up on Reddit.

It’s a complete double standard with the Cookout, but at the same time I respect at least the way that they aren’t doing it with hatred towards white people, just that they want the first black person to win. What’s sad is that Tiffany and Ky are playing really great, and don’t want their game to be discredited because of the Cookout.

ETA: I’ll even take up more for Tiffany, she got some hate earlier in the season from Twitter/Reddit for saying how much she hates wokeness and cancel culture, and that it’s ridiculous to not like someone because you disagree with their politics. She’s not Bayleigh or Day.

False. There are 6 different motivations. Hannah and Azah both have hate for different reasons. Azah is clearly a black excellence person. I mean shite she’s AFrican royalty! Didn’t you know!? And the whole “it’s actually 5+1 thing” was so fricking obvious.

Hannah is trying to prove how down she is. But she is also just a really mean spirited person (which is more about her being a hip gen Zer). She’s been really mean in her confessionals. Enjoys others losing as much as she enjoys winning. Something really off putting about that mean kid shite.

Derek F is just a moron.

Xavier is the interesting one. He is being societally blackmailed (pun intended). He literally doesn’t want to look bad on TV so he is going along with it. The way he had to placate Azahs crush was hilarious. It’s obvious the dude just likes white girls. But he had to do the whole “she looks like a goddess”. You don’t accidentally say that haha. He’s been tiptoeing around black women his whole life.

Kyland is in a similar boat as well.

Big Brother is touted as being a social experiment. How someone cannot understand that racial issues will be discussed is baffling to me.

This season is kind of a microcosm of today's American society in that whites in general are being attacked. Those who only want to focus on game play dont seem to get the theme of the show.

Agreed. I actually applied to this season and made it to the final 50 of casting. I probably would’ve been furious watching back the episodes knowing about the cookout.

Moving forward anyone in contention for the show will 100 percent be on high alert.

Tiffany is a hell of a player though and if she wins a few comps will be a very worthy winner.

I will skip over the Azah comment, but how does this show that they hate white people? If anything you kind of stated they don’t. X is into white women and DF made a comment about only dating white men, and Hannah is into an Asian guy and Ky may end up banging SB, a white girl (allegedly she’s in an open relationship).

I literally said they all have different motivations. I said Hannah hates pretty much everyone. I never said in my post they were motivated by white hate.

Yeah but you quoted the part of my post where I said they weren’t motivated by white hate. I agree they all have different motivations, which is ultimately going to lead to their downfall, and I think sooner rather than later. Hannah will be first soon IMO.
