I’m guessing a lot of the hypocrites in this thread love to complain about why everything has to be viewed through the lens of race and how easily the term “racism” is thrown around these days, but man a group of black people working together in a game based on numbers is OUTRAGEOUS

I have no problem with how they're playing, but you can't make a name based around a term that is used to intentionally exclude non-black people and say it isn't based around race.

I didn't call anyone of them a racist or say that they were playing a racist game. I said they picked a racist name because the name they picked is known to exclude non-black people. It seems you're the one reaching to call me a racist.

I’m going to disagree here, I don’t think a black person winning is the issue.
They seem to be upset that an alliance of all black members came together and are targeting non POC based strictly on race.
My question is, why is that a bad thing???
The game is dependent on finding people you can trust, and work with. I think it makes perfect sense that they all connected in that way, and even more sense to take that group to the end. Doesn’t everyone look for common ground in trying to decide who they can trust?
The fact that so many players seem oblivious to that connection is an indictment on their social and game skills, not the cookout’s imo.
If most of us walked into the BB house and there were five other people from SEC schools, we’d all be like frick yeah I need to try to work with these people, and we’ll call the alliance the Tailgate, and this board would probably act like it was the best thing since Chilltown.
The fact that the bond is based on race makes absolutely no difference imo. And the idea that the name cookout is “racist” is pretty damn racist in itself

Why that name would rub someone the wrong way is so petty and absurd, and yes a little racist, it isn’t even worth discussing. It’s a fricking great alliance name and I love it.
There are clearly people here taking it as an affront to white people and taking the loss personally. Just another example of people so ate up by politics/division that they can’t ever put it aside even to enjoy a reality based game show, yet probably complain nonstop about the other side “making everything about race” lol

I don’t care about color. I feel the same way when someone says I want an all girl alliance. Forming an alliance that has nothing to do with game and solely based on gender or race is stupid. How’d it fail? Well because you realized you don’t really like a certain person even though they are “like” you

As far as the game, I don’t care what people do or how they pick the people they want to align with. It’s Big Brother, a social game. They can find whatever common ground they want.

Sure, except that up to this point the alliance has not been anything close to a failure. They have strategically dominated the game.
