Cried.
Watching a cartoon.

That scene ripped my heart out of my chest.

Wilson knew there wasn't enough water and food for the both of them.

It didn't the first time for me. I just figured Joy would be true to her word and bring Bing Bong back. This is Pixar for god's sake; they're not going to kill innocence and selflessness personified. As I was leaving the theater, I couldn't believe how great the movie is, and how Bing Bong stole the show.... wait a moment.... they fricking killed Bing Bong. Holy shite! Has there ever been a more innocent character killed in a kid's film before? This movie had balls to kill him, and Pixar must really believe in their audience to let Docter get away with killing a character like that.
Second time watching it, tears.

Fat bitch murdered him.
Mythbusters conclusively proved they both could have fit on that giant piece of wood.

Snape is a good one. Probably the best.
Some of the others posted may have been for strong causes most are last minute decisions...
But Snape...sacrificed everything to honor Lily. Years and years and his life.

One thing I always loved about that scene was how they didn't draw out the battle between Chingachgook and Magua. Chingachgook sees Magua kill Uncas, runs in and DESTROYS him.
The whole scene is pretty badass though.
The movie as a whole is decently good but the last 15 minutes of that movie is just spectacular on every level. One of my favorite scenes in all moviedom.
Great sacrifice, music, cinematography, fighting, revenge, despair, chase scene, sorrow, everything.
Very little dialogue.
That was probably the first movie I really remember or noticed a score of.

I told my fiance I just watched all of my dreams and childhood hopes and joy die in a Pixar movie and the worst part it, they're right. You have to let your stronger emotions and feelings not only kill but eradicate your childhood wonder and innocence in order to grow up and survive in this world. I didn't think an animated movie would ever even come close to topping Toy Story in my mind, but damn Inside Out was absolutely amazing.
That scene is brutal. And it's so brutal because it's so true. That scene, and the first time sadness touches a happy memory and it turns into nostalgia.
