Best All Around Athlete in movies............

I got Omar Epps edging out Wesley Snipes.
Epps was a big time College Football prospect(I envisioned him winning the Heisman at ESU)
Darnell Jefferson
He left USC early to get drafted by the Lakers as Quincy McCall in Love and Basketball
Quincy McCall
He also got a full ride in like 95 to run track at Columbus University in Higher Learning(Malik Williams). Then he went on to become a Heavy Weight Boxer in Against the Ropes.
Luther Shaw
Not to mention he bulked up to become more than just a base runner as "Willie Mays Hayes" in ML2(but clearly he was no Wesley Snipes in that performance)...........
Then you have Wesley as a pretty good High School football player in "The Wildcats", he went on to be a pretty good amateur boxer in "Streets of Gold". His breakout athletic performance came in 88 as THE REAL....
Willie Mays Hayes
Again he is a very talented amateur basketball player on the streets of LA in "White Men Can't Jump"
Sydney Deane
I think he might have had the talent, showmanship and the all around vision on the court to make it big in today's And 1 tour, but back in 92 it was all about the 50 dollar bills and respect on the streets.
He found another baseball gig with the Giants in 96 as Bobby Rayburn in "The Fan".
In 2002 he was the Heavy Weight Champion in Sweetwater maximum security prison and beat the shite out of the current WBA Heavy Weight Champion of the world George "Iceman" Chambers as
Monroe Hutchen
in "Undisputed".
Due to his lack of professional credibility and mostly "amateur" status, I have to give it to Omar Epps. Snipes is also a phenomenal martial artist, but unfortunately he never appeared as a professional MMA competitor.
Who you got?

The guy from Varsity Blues was a legit D1 running back I believe.

Yeah but none of these guys played as many sports nor was as successful as Omar or Wesley.

Derek Luke has the potential to overtake them. He was Booby Miles in Friday Night Lights and the PG in Glory Road.

While his role as Luis Mendoza in the Mighty Ducks movies was fine, there is only one truly defining role for Mike Vitar and it trumps any other player/athlete from any other sports movie of all time:

True, he's definitely on the right path. But you have to think Omar was a star in 3 professional sports and Darnell Jefferson was a way better prospect than Boobie Miles.

Art Long, Country Western Warrior

Kevin Costner has to be on there. I mean he was a catcher in the minors, built a field to play with the black sox, then threw a perfect game with the Detroit Tigers, and finally shot better than par with just a 7 iron

Seriously, Dennis Quaid didn't even cross my mind but....
Art Long in "Tough Enough"
Gavin Grey(The Grey Ghost) in "Everybody's All American"
Jack "Cap" Rooney in "Any Given Sunday"
and Jimmy Morris in "The Rookie"
Quite impressive!

Yeah you can throw KC in there with Quaid.
