You can still enjoy the music without enjoying the films. It's one of those few soundtracks that can exist independently from the movie.

The Star Wars tracks are second to none. And I think the score to Psycho is second to only Star Wars.

But Hans Zimmer is currently my favorite. Inception was brilliant (the documentary on how he scored that film was really cool) and I thought his Batman scores were a huge addition to the franchise.

I'm not saying Hans Zimmer sucks. I really like quite a few of his soundtracks. I just feel like he takes a movie off with some of his scores.
