Started this a while ago and just got busy. I’m needing a new show to watch and may start this one over.

What’s the boards thoughts on this show.......or recommend something else. I’ve seen most of the usual characters.

It's great. Freddie Highmore and Vera Farmiga were exceptional in the final two seasons

It’s definitly worth the watch. I thought it wallowed a little in the middle but finishes strong.

Great show, watched it live from the beginning to the end. As someone said before me it sort of stumbled midway but righted the ship. The last couple of seasons were outstanding for me and the acting is really phenomenal.
Freddie Highmore, Max Thieriot & Vera Farmiga meshed together so well imo. The non (original) family member cast was really good too.

I'm in the middle of a binge right now. Just started Season 5. I thought Season 2 was easily the weakest but the build up from 3 to 4 to now 5 has been really good.

Highmore's accent bugged me at first but I've gotten used to it. It's fun seeing moments in the show where a lot of the little things from the movie like the peephole are first developed.

I thought it was really good. Everyone played their role well.

At least an 8/10

I just finished it last night...quasi-binged it over the past 2 months.

I agree with 7.5 or 8 out of 10. It never really truly captivated me, but I'm such a fan of the movie that I was persistently drawn to keep watching it. I REALLY loved their recreation of the motel/house set. It itself was a character in the show.

I think one reason it wasn't truly great was because the town itself was just unbelievable. Road House-esque levels of organized crime focused on a small town.

I enjoyed it. Very well-acted and the writing is good. That said, you kind of have to forget the "mother" you know if you've seen any of the Psycho films, particularly Psycho IV, where they go into Norman's backstory and how his insanity was a direct result of Norma abusing him.

Loved the whole series, but the final season was some of my all time favorite TV.
