How did the board like this movie? I’m about 20 minutes in and it’s pretty bizarre. Classic Coen Brothers.

The story with Liam Neeson stuck with me for a while. And I loved the Buster Scruggs story just for the David Rawlings song.

I enjoyed it. I wasnt a big fan of the Liam Neeson one, but the others were good.

Thought it was terrific. My two favorites were the one that had Buster Scruggs and the one with James Franco in it.

Loved it. The Buster Scruggs singing cowboy was the best.

The one with the prospector was my favorite. The valley he was in was so beautiful it didn't look real.

Yeah, that's a lot to wade through for what is more or less an inside joke. Overall, though, it was probably my favorite movie of 2018. I've watched everything except the Liam Neeson one several times. The Buster Scruggs one is my favorite and works really well as a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

Remember in the long thread the poster that had a completely different and wrong interpretation of what the ending entailed from the Liam Neeson one?

What was it, did he think Liam ate the torso head?

It started off strong with the Buster Scruggs vignette, but dropped off hard after that and never came back. I could have watched Buster Scruggs for the full length of the film.

IMHO, the Coen brothers could have made a movie with just the first ballad (buster scruggs himself) and I would have enjoyed it. It was a great start to the movie. I also think Tim Blake Nelson (buster scruggs) is a very underrated actor. He always plays roles that really fit him.

I didn’t get the Liam neeson story. I assumed it was his brother or son that was born with a deformity. He used him to make money and when he found a better show, he killed him. Was there more to it than that?
