Am I the only one who is bugged by the fact that they cast actors to play both the parent and their kids in the sequel? Kids aren't carbon copies of their parents. Crispin Glover didn't play Marty in the original. It's not even like it was needed in order to bring the original cast back. Old Biff still played a key role and old Loraine was present at the Pizza Hut dinner scene.

Yeah you're probably the only one.
Definitely the only one bothered enough by it to post on a message board after midnight.

It's such a small part of the movie that I never really gave it any thought. Besides, all it's really doing is just poking fun at the original anyway.
I guess MJF playing his daughter was a little strange, but I had no problem with Tom Wilson playing Griff or Mad Dog. His characters were always great.

You need to go find a cave and live in it.

It’s a little on the cutesy side but that’s kind of what BTTF is

On the contrary i think its brilliant how all three movies mirror each other in a unique way. With the chase scenes, the basic structure of Hill Valley, and the generations of Marty's family as well as Biff. It has a comedic effect and keeps the movie trilogy lighthearted, fun, and entertaining.

Crispin Glover wasn’t even in the sequels.

The more time that passes the more I think Glover got screwed and Bob Gale is a douche. The way that dude describes why Eric Stoltz was let go make me think he is a major prick. He helped write one of the most iconic series ever yet has hardly done anything that wasn't BttF related since. Seems odd that he can't really get any other work besides a few random episodes of TV shows and Bordello of Blood.

I never said Crispin was in the sequels (outside of the repeated scene from the original that is).

Didn't bother me. Recasting Jennifer did.
