Me too. Espescially since these characters probably can't carry a stand alone film.
The Hulk has standalone movies coming out, and they won't kill Black Widow unless they get another female character. They won't kill the only female.

all the lesser characters make sense. Widow, hawkeye, fury. Secret agents or assasins have no business on the most powerful defense team anyways.

They will have another female by movie one of Phase 3. Ant Man kicks off phase three, so Wasp is a given.
Carol Danvers could also be introduced at some point through the SHEILD tv show. I doubt Scarlet Witch is an option though because of the studio issues with XMen.
She Hulk is another, albeit farfetched, possibility.

Can't kill the Hulk. A reocurring theme in the marvel universe is "what the frick do we do with Hulk?".

I have a feeling that Pepper will die in Iron Man 3.

anyone here think maybe pepper dies in avengers 2 and stark blames shield/fury and quits and walks away from the team.
he could always come back in subsequent avenger movies and you would still be able to do an iron man 4 so in reality you would be losing one of the central figures to the avengers franchise if stark walks away.
Hell they could even go out on a limb and have stark fighting against the avengers in avengers 3 only to realize later on the group he is fighting with is really responsible for peppers death and he returns to the avengers and kills the villians that killed pepper in avengers 2 and at the same time he sacrifices himself at the end of avengers 3.

But that would be a great movie. Heck, the entire Civil War series in a movie would be fantastic.

Thor will probably die, since he's one of the easier characters to resurrect.
I still think going with Thanos and the guardians of the galaxy is going to end in disaster. I thought Avengers had too many heroes hogging screen time, but it just barely got by.
