With The Legend of Korra coming out, I decided to re-watch the originals. I had forgotten how good of a show it was. The 2nd chapter was easily my favorite, followed by the 3rd, and then the 1st. I'm hoping the new series lives up to my expectations.

There are a few things I would like to discuss though.

1. Toph is the best character in the show, followed by Uncle Iroh. This is a not a debatable opinion. It is fact.

2. How much would it suck to be one of the lower grade benders? During city scenes, they always show the people who guide the boats with water bending or push the trains with earth bending. That is like being a really cool taxi driver. It must suck to be one of those guys.

3. What characters would you like to see return in the new series?

I'm hoping Toph makes some kind of appearance.

4. What happened to Zuko's mom?

I want to know.

5. Who was the better character, Mai or Ty Lee?

Mai wins.

6. I think Azula was a better character and villain than the Firelord was. Her craziness at the end was badass. They didn't really build up Ozai's character enough, IMO.

Well, that is all the nerding out I have for now.

Peace.

Saka, but he's dead.

Do you mean why did she disappear or where did she go?

I kind of felt sorry for Azula, although it's clear she was born crazy.

Yea, that sucks. He was cool.

This. They explain why she disappeared, but they ended the series with Zuko asking his dad where his mom was.

I thought she was an awesome character. And yes, that bitch was born insane. Crazy insane chick.

Have you watched the first episode of the new show? The writers troll the fans. Katara begins to explain what happened to Zuko's mother but gets cut off by one of her grandchildren.

I'd say Zuko was clearly the most well developed character in the series, but Toph was the most bad arse.

I was hoping for Sokka, but he's dead for sure, which sucks. I guess Azula could return as one of the Triad leaders, which would be cool.

Well I think Katara implied that Zuko eventually found her before Katara was interrupted by her granddaughter.

Mai was the better character, but I liked Ty Lee as well.

Yeah Azula was the better character. I know they were going for the Emperor vibe with Ozai, but we should have spent more time with Ozai in the first half of season 3.

I will agree that Zuko was the most well developed. His transition through the 3 books was very well done.

I'd like to see Zuko make an appearance in the new series also.

I liked Zuko's arc, but if I was Aang I think I would have had trouble believing his transformation. I mean really, how many times can the bad guy screw you over?

Zuko: I'm good, no wait back to evil. Ok now I'm good this time, really guys! Ha, got ya bitch!

Ok, now seriously everybody...I'm on your side this time.

I think Azula was actually the most badass character. She's basically kicking everyone's arse through most of the show.

If you think about it, he only really screwed him over once, and that was in Ba Sing Se. Also, Katara was the one he really screwed over at that time anyway.

As far as Aang was concerned, he had always been his enemy.

As far as strength goes, she definitely was in a class of her own until she mentally snapped at the end. She was even able to hold her own against Aang, Toph, and Sokka during the eclipse without any bending.

The last few episodes with her are some of my favorites. Her transition from confidence to paranoia and finally full blown insane were really well done.

I liked the back story about Iroh, would love to see more about how he changed and his son.

As much as I liked Zuko, I think he should be dead for this series. The story was about Aang and Zuko. They just weren't along for the ride like Toph and Sokka were. Their arc was effectively finished with the Last Airbender, so I don't see anywhere you could take the characters. I wouldn't mind Zuko turning up in flashbacks, but thats about it.

Yeah, this. Zuko never really screwed Aang over, just Katara, and Katara doesn't trust Zuko for quite some time and treats him like shite over it. Aang tends to want to see the best in others, plus with Toph's intuition and Zuko saving them, if I were Aang, I would probably give him a chance (not initially, but Aang didn't either).

I'm gonna have to watch this show. Does it end well, or does it drag on like Bleach.

It is a good show and it ends well. You may find it to be a bit childish at times, but the humor and action are still great.

It is made up of 3 books: Water, Earth, and Fire. Each book has 20 episodes.

They are now coming out with another season called The Legend of Korra which happens years after the first season's story ends.

If anything, the beginning slightly drags until a certain part in the first season, and the later two seasons just take off and blow the first season out of the water. You may think that the humor is kiddy towards the beginning and the characters are relatively simplistic, but stick with it. The characters and the universe is much more complex and intricate than it initially appears. It ends spectacularly and when it needed to end.

Goood. I loved Bleach, but after a while it becomes so formulaic it gets irritating. After the Bounts arc, it got shitty, fast.
