Disappointed. This movie is terrible. I thought it would at least have some laughs. It I think even my son is bored with it. Very weak story and I haven’t been this bored with a movie in a long time.

I remember reading on Reddit about the production of the movie being a massive shite show. A crew member claimed that Stephen Gaghan basically had no idea what he was doing when it came to shooting a film with so many visual effects to the point he wasn't even blocking out where all the animals were supposed to be before they started shooting. His claims were probably true b/c Disney didn't bring Gaghan back to do any of the reshoots and the poster deleted his Reddit account after his posts started making the trade rags.

This makes at least two out of three Dolittle adaptations were a complete and total shite show.
The outlier appears to be Eddie Murphy’s version, which was a setting update and financial success even if it was crap.
