What needs to happen:
Laurel dies/leaves
Diggle loses the mask
Felicity's mom goes back to wherever she was the first couple of seasons
Oliver stops being a pansy and kicks some arse
Oliver's son dies and the mom is never heard from again
Basically just get back to the main "you've failed this city" group. The show would be so much better. I hope the Flash doesn't start to suck after such a good season like Arrow did last season.

They won't kill Laurel and they probably won't send her off either. At 1 point they most likely had bigger plans but her character was ruined so they regulated to a back up role. But they won't kill her off becuase she still is the Black Canery.
I do agree on Felicity's mom though. She showed up out of nowhere and has no real role on the show.
Once again Oliver struggled in a fight while he easily took down Malcolm a short while ago. It doesn't look like they care to make Oliver consistent in his fighting again.
Might Oliver's son's mother already be dead?

Is it sad that I'm way more excited about the Legends of Tomorrow Arrow episode than the actual one? If anybody doesn't watch that show, they are going to future Star City and will meet old Oliver and a new Green Arrow.

i pretty much stopped watching after the arrow/flash crossover episode this season. sounds like it went the way it felt like since the beginning of the season. is this a whole new writing team or what? this does not even remotely feel like the same show as seasons 1 and 2. honestly, once CW branched out with so many shows it seems arrow has really suffered for it.

The formula is the same as Buffy and Smalville and both were successful shows so I doubt there will be any retread. Both shows had their crime fighting teams grow to large numbers it helps to add episodes and seasons when you have more stories to tell than just the protagonist beats up the antagonist.
As great as those first seasons were they would quickly run out of shite to do to keep you interested. Bringing in other recognizable comic characters keeps the fanboys tuning in. Face it, by the end of Smallville I was only watching to see other Cjaracters appear on the show and him finally put on the damn tights.

Does any show constantly try and raise the stakes more than arrow only to shite on it weeks later? Really Felicity is already walking again? I can't justify watching this anymore.
