Killing off Lance sure wouldn't bother me one way or the other. He really doesn't add a whole lot to the storyline anymore outside of him and Laurel's played out crap.

But with that said, I don't know what the payoff of his death would be either. I guess it would give Laurel another crucible (especially if they bring Sara back). But does she really need another one? I guess, like you said, it gives the cops a reason to turn on the Arrow (especially if they were to end up blaming him for Lance's death).

I was only about 6-7 episodes behind, but I finally got caught up last night. I agree Lance is the most likely, but it's basically a kill for show. Digs would be a big loss for Oliver, but I'm not sure it's time for him to go yet. Roy isn't ready to fill that best friend role. Malcolm has been a pretty big part of the show, but I can see him going out. He is too close to Thea to really be a formidable bad guy going forward and he has done too much damage to be accepted otherwise. (Too much begging for his life to be considered for new Ras Al Gul)

I need to go back about 10 pages and read up on this thread. I have a lot of questions but you guys probably already covered them. Like the other prisoner on the island. Assuming Captain Boomerang from what Oliver said earlier in the season.

I really grew to like Quentin Lance over the course of the series, so him dying would really bum me out. Paul Blackthorn is the kind of actor that elevates those around him. He just doesn't have anything to actually do anymore and that's part of season 3's failing.

The show has spent so much time focused on Laurel and how Sara's death changes her that it left no room Papa Lance's story.

I always kind of hoped he would become the Arrow-verse's version of Vic Sage, The Question.

I get that Lance is the the best guess, but would that really effect the fan base much? Usually you want a character death to be shocking so people want to talk about it, like Moira just getting murdered like that.

But all evidence does point to him being the one. Amell is also doing a Q&A with him today, maybe because they wont be seeing each other too much anymore?

Digs would be my other guess, but I put that at a VERY low percent. the show would be losing a lot of story opportunities and things with his character moving forward. I dont think its his time.

I agree that it could be Merlin. Doubt he makes it out alive. As for getting that response from Amell, every cast member has gushed over working with Barrowman since season 1. apparently the cast loves him, so I could see Amell saying that about him.

When does Arrow come back? Next week?

Yeah, I agree. If they would've let him die in the season 2 finale in the dock scene, that would've been pretty "shocking" since it was out of the blue, and he had been a lot more involved in that season's storylines. But now I think the shock value is greatly diminished.

I think the next episode is 3/18.

Here's to the show going super dark and knocking off Diggs' ex wife and newborn.

This. Also enables him as Green Lantern. You can't be Green Lantern with a wife and kid at home.

I could definitely see that happening (or at least his ex-wife). I believe they have a wedding in their future in an upcoming episode. And usually in the comics when there is a wedding, that is when the crap usually hits the fan.

But with that said, I don't think that is what Amell was talking about. Harbinger hasn't really been in that many episodes, so I don't think his comment fits her necessarily. But that doesn't mean that it still can't happen.

Maybe it isn't a death. Maybe Felicity just walks away after getting fed up with the whole thing.

Poor Felicity. While it is a great strain upon my time, I would do the right thing and take her in and give her, um, comfort.

So here is a fun theory.

quote:

The show’s Season 3 finale will introduce a major, formidable, fierce new foe for Oliver, and his reign of terror will continue well into Season 4. The mysterious character is being referred to internally as “Damian Dark,” which got Matt Mitovich and I (but mostly MM) pulling up and skimming the Wiki page of one Damian Wayne. Get it? Damian Wayne. Son of the Dark Knight. They’d probably have to tweak the Bruce Wayne connection, but it’s a plausible theory, no?

It is plausible. However, highly unlikely they would introduce him as a main villain. Wonder who else "Damian Dark" could mean...could it be, Tommy?

Without Batman or Talia existing in the shows universe it being Damien Wayne seems like too far a stretch. Also he's a little kid soooo yea. My best guess would be Tommy too, but I've been wrong every time I thought Tommy would be coming back so its probably best you dont listen to me.

Surely they wouldn't take out Thea...would they? That would definitely solicate that type of response from Amell. And would definitely be worth of that episode title.

I really hope they don't off her this season. I kind of want to see her take on the Mia Dearden role. Plus I like her character development this season, and I'd hate to see it ended so quickly.
