My only thought was about all the beautiful artwork that was destroyed.

Nice effect they have the Effel Tower collapsing before the "earth tsunami" hits it.

Think it’s implied that the pneumatic blast wave that is shown hitting first knocked it over.

The reason why the impact site flashes bright white has nothing to do with the meteor.

While cool looking, I kinda wish they'd gone with something a bit more authentic. Of course, the explosion would be too bright to even see anything , so there's that.

And it would happen much faster I think.

My thought is how lucky they were to be saved from hearing that shitty Aerosmith song.

If you look closely you can see someone waving a white flag.

It’s kind of hilarious how much they still celebrate at the end. One of the worlds most populous and culturally significant cities was wiped from the face of the earth. I get it earth is saved but that’s still devastation on a scale never before witnessed.

Not only was the city destroyed, but that explosion was easily gigaton of TNT-equivalent explosion.

It's very much possible that every living soul within 150 miles of that impact was wiped out. We're talking about 20 million people.

In real life all the artwork in Paris are copies/fakes and the real art is locked away in a vault somewhere to survive whatever happens

Best song in that movie is Bear and Rockhound’s version of Leaving on a Jet Plane. I mean when Max comes in harmonizing, I just get goosebumps.

I thought the Sweet Emotion training montage was killer too. Sweet Emotion is just a cool damn song to have in your movie, see Dazed and Confused too.
