He threw him into that canyon, he stopped and went look at the drop, then the boy was gone

I beg to differ.

He ate that kid. Piece by piece. And then traded him for a chicken which was more convenient.

That's a way better ending than he just threw him over a bridge.

If he could just throw him over a bridge, why did the stumpy even go along with him all that time? Why perform every night if they had no bond and no relationship?

That was his son and he slowly ate him.

you just made your own ending up. There’s literally no indication that he was eating the kid at all. It’s clear as day what happened

The name of the thing was meal ticket and an extremely well known western story is canablism in the harsh winter.

Also, the Cohen Brothers tend to shoot things very deliberately. And there was alot of camera panning and acting based around food and then shots of the stumpy kid.

Possible, but it's a better ending.

Because the kids performance was literally his meal ticket because he couldn’t fend for himself and as soon as it stopped making money he was quickly replaced by the chicken and thrown away like nothing.

Or the kid was literally his meal.

Well good luck trying to convince people of that because you’re literally the only person who saw it that way

Really?

You've talked to every other person who saw the movie?

Find me any sort of article or review that mentions it

I don’t need to talk to every other person to reasonably assume that most people have eyes and knows how to use them

So I guess we can't discuss or enjoy movie theories anymore? Just read Wikipedia summaries and never see a different angle?

Not sure how you came up with their being father and son. The characters didn’t have names. Neeson is listed in the credits as “Impresario” which means manager.

It’s as if you wrote your own little secret backstory to this movie.

You didn’t present it as a theory. You just passed it off as a matter of fact when there’s no evidence at all to support it and in fact you have to actively ignore parts of the plot in order to make it viable

I haven’t seen this movie and probably won’t, but I like the “he ate him” version better.

Whew. I’m glad I’m not the only one that had no idea what that dude was talking about

I read that and thought I must be retarded because I didn’t get any of the stuff he was talking about.

Didn’t they show Liam finding the kid and wasn’t he always completely limbless?
