Is this how Baby Boomers felt when Scooby-Doo first got rebooted?

My only question about this show is "Why?"

I remember watching the original cartoon when I was 8. I haven't really thought about it since I was 10 and have no plans to watch the reboot because I'm now in my early-30s and am no longer a member of the target audience.

Progressives hate it because it makes fun of PC and woke culture, and conservatives hate it because it makes fun of Trump. So basically for us normal people it's fantastic

I'm about 3 episodes in and it's entertaining enough to keep going. Pinky and the Brain continue to steal the show.

I’m halfway through the 2nd Episode and that was very funny Trump parody. If Trumpkins can’t laugh at that, that’s really up there on Trump parodies even if I rolled my eyes on the final line.

Unfortunately not so far, and from everything I've read P&B are the only holdovers from the original. Which is a shame because we definitely need Slappy Squirrel in these times.

Episode 5 brings back a ton of characters for a sketch but they didn’t really have dialogue

Might just of not been able to get the voice actors back or saving for season 2

Gold review for the series: From Collider

quote:

In watching the five episodes of the Hulu Animaniacs reboot provided for review, someone could've made a timelapse video of my face and called it "Man Transitions from Smiling to Frowning." Episode 1 begins with that delightful Jurassic Park riff before cutting to that incredible, major-sixth chord-centered theme song we all know and love, and in that moment, I am all in. And then, about halfway through the newly recorded theme song, we get a lyric about how this new version is "gender-balanced," has "neutral pronouns" (with a corresponding visual of the Warners on a bathroom), and is "ethnically diverse." This, to me, was the beginning of the end, and as Animaniacs kept commenting on itself, its past, and its need to destroy our weak-arse PC culture, my frown kept frown, frown, frowning. Put it another way: The new Animaniacs never stops mansplaining, even if a new lyric claims it doesn't.
