Anyone else confused about “Greyhound” trailer?

I’ve been watching Hulu and been seeing the trailer for “Greyhound”, which kinda looks like WWII “Hunt for Red October”(?)
But honestly I have no idea what the trailer shows/depicts other than Tom Hanks as a new boat captain who is fighting with German UBoats(?)
The short battle scenes in the trailer show both UBoats and Navy ships getting blasted(?)
I don’t know what the hell to think about this...
But I’m definitely going to watch it. I’ve already beat Netflix and most of Prime and running out of shite to watch

The trailer better be bullshite, because there is no way that 50+ subs would be in that close proximity to each other

I think it's BS. That's clearly radar his character is looking at and all of those blips are part of the convoy.

That’s exactly what I’m saying! The trailer doesn’t explain anything... as someone who isn’t 100% familiar with WWII history, I got NOTHING that told me that it was “The Battle of the Atlantic” (if that’s actually what it’s even about(?)
I’m a little disappointed that Hanks is responsible... I like him a lot as an actor.
