On netflix? Is it worth it?

Seems interesting time period they focus on, just wondering.

I like that the Byzantines call themselves "Roman Empire" in the trailer, which is historically accurate

It literally was released yesterday. It seems to have gotten pretty positive reviews. I'll probably check it out eventually.

Hard to believe...an entire empire built around putting your feet up.

Watched 2 episodes last night.
It's a really well done history channel type show.

The details for this particular battle are pretty awesome.

I just finished it. It was good. Learned a few things about that battle that I didn't know.

Really enjoyed the episodes and the details they went into. Could’ve done without the cutaways to the historians talking and just had them narrate, but didn’t ruin anything.

Hope the continue to do more with different empires.

Yes, with empires people really dont focus on like the Ottomans and the middle ages roman empire like they did here.

Julius Cesear era romans, alexander the great etc are interesting but are over done.

I thought it was an intriguing series until historians started jumping in.

It’s crazy how Europe didn’t send more relief forces right away to fight the Ottomans while they were bogged down in a siege. The fall of Constantinople led to the Ottoman Muslims causing havoc to the Christian world for centuries afterwards. Talk about a devastating chain effect.
