He was in a self sufficient community getting to frick Mary Ann and ginger. He doesn't have to pay taxes or come hone to his stupid kids, mortgage and spoiled wife. Why would he want to leave? He gives everyone enough to survive comfortably and you're over here talking shite

Damn I never thought about it that way. He was great at inventing ease of living things but sucked at getting off the island things.
It all makes sense now.

And Mr Howell didn't want to go back either. He was on the run, he packed all of his belongings up for a 3 hour tour? He was keeping some shite from Lovey.

But yeah, him, Gilligan and the Skipper too were all spanking their monkeys while the professor went to sleep with a smile in his beachside hammock.

Here’s a good one for this board, what is the Professor’s actual name on Gilligan’s Island, it’s mentioned 1 time, in the 1st episode?

quote:

IRL, the professor was an honest to goodness American hero.

quote:

He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Forces. He flew 44 combat missions in the Pacific Theater during World War II as a bombardier in B-25 twin-engined medium bombers.

On March 4, 1945, while flying as a navigator in a B-25 with the 100th Bombardment Squadron, 42nd Bombardment Group, 13th Air Force, Johnson's B-25 and two others were shot down during a low-level bombing and strafing run against Japanese military targets in the Philippine Islands. The B-25s encountered heavy anti-aircraft fire, and all three had to ditch in the sea off Zamboanga. Johnson broke both his ankles in the landing, and his bomber's co-pilot was killed. Johnson received a Purple Heart for his injuries. He was also awarded the Air Medal, the Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with three campaign stars, the Philippine Liberation Ribbon with one campaign star, and the World War II Victory Medal.

The Stooges were sort of ruined for me when I watched a YouTube video of clips with the “doink!” sound effects removed. Totally lame without the sounds. Don’t ever watch one of those videos.

I've seen sitcoms aired in part with the soundtracks removed. They take out all the clapping, laughing, oohhhs and aahhs and that removed has most sitcoms coming off as rather mundane and pretty unfunny.
