Im sure there are plenty of haters, but Ive always liked it a lot. Definitely my fav gangsta flick. A pretty stylish flick for when it was made. I still watch it again once a year or so
Anybody know what happened with Hype Williams (director). I remember watching for some new work back then but it looks like he stuck to videos and music doc's after this. Even if you didn't like the movie much it wasn't like it was so bad it was a career killer or anything

One of my favorite openings to a movie. My friends and I would watch this all the time in high school.

Same. That song playing while they stroll up in that club like bosses was badass

i love it when the are sitting out in the old school range rover and they talk about getting out of here and going to Africa, like it would be some comfortable life over there.

it could be the best movie of all time, if they'd cut and tweak the bullshite. instead of saying lets go to africa which is the dumbest shite ever, nobody wants to go to africa, say hey lets go to mexico and hide out, just that change would have made a big difference. they have money they could have said hey lets go to st. tropez and hide out at p diddy's place till this shite cools down. but africa????
i say tyler perry should have a go at it

great opening scene. Strip club scene with the background music is good too.
I like Hype Williams' shooting style. They even managed to incorporate one of my other cult faves, Gummo, into the movie.

Like most people I think there are parts I absolutely love, opening scene, most of method mans and Lennox's parts etc. but it just had a very weird and flat ending. You could tell a video guy was in charge. The little montages and sketch worthy dialogue is what made it good, but the ending kept it from being great IMO
