Trent was great. I liked MacKenzie, as well. I didn't think Tristan was as good as the judges did. Sonika did a good job on "save" song. She's got a good voice, but she'll be in the bottom again next week.

I didn't care for any of the duets I saw. I think I missed a few of them.

I just saw that Trent had made it through to the blind auditions for The Voice. Interesting info about the process. He mentions hanging out with Pharrell, so it makes me wonder how blind the blinds really are.

That's so interesting, Darla. The whole article. I thought Trent looked familiar. Maybe I saw him on the Voice. I wonder how far he got?

I loved Trent's performance of Simple Man! Surely, even if he doesn't win this thing, he'll get some kind of record deal (I hope).

Mackenzie is the hometown boy. I knew he'd gone to the same high school as my son, but had no idea he also went to the same K-8 school. Not at the same time, though. He's younger than my son. Anyway, I'm glad he's made it this far, but I don't see how he can win.

I tape it on two dvrs/TVs and for some reason, neither taped. I'll watch on demand tomorrow night I guess.
Glad MacKenzie is there for another week.

Great job on that song for Trent. I watched both of MacKenzie's performances a lot.

I accidentally saw who was eliminated, at least one of them, and I think there was only one. She seemed to crash and burn a bit after being slated early on as a finalist.

I'm glad the save is over and the people who get the votes will stay on the show. Sonika was better than Tristan, but I'd bet money Sonika was last in the votes.

As far as I'm concerned, all the other contestants can just sit down and shut up, because I only want to hear Trent Harmon.

Sharp Dressed Man was the performance of the night for me.

When I read some of the websites that predict the winner, most seem to be predicting LaPorsha, though.

Trent is one of the best singers ever on the show. Both performances were incredible tonight.

I'm so sad that I can't pull my shite together to sit down and watch American Idol's final season.

ok, just checked american idol website and it's 4 now and I watched their performances:
Mackenzie-Titanium. I thought it was good, he has a nice voice. I haven't gotten to watch most of the season, but it seemed like a safe song for him.
Mackenzie-I want you to want me. kinda took the same tone as the Titanium song, would have been interesting to see him turn it up some.

Trent Harmon-Chandelier. That was beautiful!!!! HE SANG DAT!
Trent-Sharp Dressed Man. Well that was fun! Trent shoots for the stars on both performances.

LaPorcha-Dead or Alive. Good job, was a fun performance.

LaPorcha-Elastic Heart. WOW!!!!! That was wonderful!! loved it!

Dalton-God Only Knows. This performance kinda seemed like a broadway performance, but I liked it. He's good!

Dalton-bird set free. Never heard this before. He was really dramatic. Other than the drama that seemed unnecessary I though it was a decent performance.

Yes, the two front runners are both from Mississippi. You can see a bunch of the performances on youtube or elsewhere online.

watching the top 4 right now. I added some thoughts on the previous post. I think Dalton was the weakest link of those 4.

Mackenzie's voice is nice but he doesn't seem to be versatile enough. While I'd like to pull for the home town kid (Mackenzie), my heart belongs to Trent.

I think LaPorsha is super talented and I enjoy her performances more and more each show. But I like Trent better.

Dalton ... I can't deny that he's talented, but he doesn't pull me in.

Finally watched. I agree that as of this week, Trent should take this home. He's got the voice, the technical talent and the entertainment gene to make it.

There are plenty of big female voices out there. LaPorsha is talented and has a big voice, but she's not unique. I don't like dreadlocks but her hair looks better. They all make me want to scratch my head due to dirty hair.

I love MacKenzie. He's unique and I appreciate his tone. This wasn't his week at all. Wasn't Dalton's either though dalton may have gotten to the top 3 with his second song.

My take. :>)

Top 3 announced tonight!

Mackenzie first- performed Hallelujah. I thought it was a good, safe performance.

Dalton-performing a Blue October song. I'm not really liking it at all.

Trent-Tennesse Whiskey. Very nice version...he slowed down a slow song

LaPorcha-singing Glory. Her dress is very complimentary but I'm worried her hair beehive is going to topple over. Performance is really good.

I'm about halfway through tonight's episode but if it hasn't been said yet...

That Scott Borschetta guy has got to be one of the biggest douchebags on the planet.
