One of the weaker episodes last night IMO. The opening was awesome though. That guy was a sick bastard.

I didn't mind the episode as much as ya'll.
I thought it was pretty creepy, thanks to Ian Mc Shane.
That character truly was the best, and creepiest on the show so far.(of auxiliary characters)

One little nit pick....This is supposed to be in 1963 right? Satan Nun mentions the Grinch.
The Grinch didn't air on tv until 1966.
Yeah, I know it was a Dr. Seuss book first, but I wouldn't think it would be part of pop culture/language yet at that time.

Can we all agree that Lana's vomiting scene last night is because she has morning sickness from carrying BF's spawn in her belly?

Good call.
Especially obvious when she told the nurse she didn't eat, so it wasn't the food that messed her up....Baby Bloody Face. BBF.

So with Dr Harden coming back next week and it looking like he is talking to a psychiatrist himself, I am thinking that my prediction of the two seasons coming together as Season 1 being a dream is more likely.

I guess you didn't take the time to read the rest of my post, so I will copy it here for you:

Carry on.

Guess I didn't.

But since it's been consistently voted one of the top 100 children's books since it was published, I imagine it was pretty well known. People used to read.

No shite.

But it wasn't exactly referenced all over the place until it became a phenomenon on tv.

How old are you? Were you even around in the 60's? I wasn't but I inherited my uncle's Grinch book that he had as a child in 1960. Seuss was very well known by the 60's.

As for last night's episode, it wasn't one of the better ones so far but it was still pretty good. Ian McShane was incredible and I absolutely love possessed nun. She's upstaging the hell out of Lange right now. She's incredible. Next week looks like it could the biggest WTF episode so far this season. Can't wait. This show is so good on so many levels.

The show is set in '63 when Seuss was VERY popular. His most well-known books were out by then.

eta: I was born in '78
