Bump.

So last night's episode was obviously a set up episode. With 4-5 episodes left (not certain just speculation) there are many plot lines left to tie together and my speculations as to what.

Aliens, and what defining roll they may or may not play moving forward? Maybe reabduct Kit since they still have Alma and took Grace.

Lana seems obviously pregnant and it would make sense that Harmon is bloody face 2.0 and was probably born in the asylum, figures out who his father was, carries on legacy etc.

Jude looks like she'll get framed for the death of the guard since she also killed the deranged santa, how does she thwart?

ZOMBIES!!! how will they factor into this? Killing their creator Arden maybe?

Exorcism/killing of Mary Eunice? Maybe she jumps into Lana's baby at the end making him bloody face 2.0

Bloody face. He destroyed the evidence, so they have nothing on him other than the word of a now killer in Kit and a mental patient in Lana. How does he end?

Also they said in the first episode once you enter Briar Cliff you never leave, have to assume that no one, patients, staff, doctors, make it out in the end? After all they did eventually kill the whole family in Season 1.

I agree... Mentioned that a couple episodes back.

Hadn't thought of that - Very good observation/point.

Are we finished yet with current time scenes?

It looks like the previews with Dr. Harmon occur in the present.

But since it's been consistently voted one of the top 100 children's books since it was published, I imagine it was pretty well known. People used to read.
Uh. I had never heard of the Grinch until the show aired and I had a bunch of Suess books. The Grinch really became popular because of the show.

One thing I've realized about this show is that whatever seems most likely to occur never does. Ex: Arden not being bloody face after the prostitute incident, hit and run girl not actually dead.

Now that I think about it Jude being an inmate seems like the best way for her to kill Mary Eunice. She said she was a warrior of God and done running. So deranged mental patient kills a nun, stays there, maybe takes on matriarchal role even as a patient.

Still haven't been explained except that one chased Kit when he tried to get back into Briarcliff to save Grace. Grace was shot and killed (but not before she was abducted and had lady surgery).

What happened to Chloe?

Left on the steps of an elementary school and then brought to a hospital and quarantined. She's yet to be identified.

Nope

Yes and she's running the show. Tormenting Jude and has tried to ruin her a couple times before locking her in a room with a homicidal Santa. She's also got the Nazi Doc under her thumb and scared.

I watched the seasons out of order. Started with the first few episodes of s2 and really enjoyed those- so picked up s1 and watched all 12 epi's this weekend.

Having now watched s1, I think it's much better up to this point. Last night's episode I thought was pretty disappointing but anxious to see the rest of the season. Jessica Lange is great!

ETA: anyone else want to ice pick their eardrums when Lana screams?

I finally watched the episode today...was wondering in next week's preview, is the sheet of paper that Lana shows to Threadson prove she's pregnant??

Also, there's a lottttt to be resolved in the present day. I akso heard that after next week's episode that there's going to be a 3 week hiatus and then the last 4 episodes will come on in January. I thought it was funny that Ben Harmon (yes I know he's not Harmon this season but I like referring to him as that name, same with calling Kit by Tate still) was the psych patient when he was a psychiatrist last season .
