Either of those would be great. I enjoyed American Gods and it should be a great series as the characters are definitely weird and plenty of creepy shite to go down on screen.

Am I the only one who doesn't see the Rock as Shadow?
It's not the looks, they are great for the character, it's the acting and screen presence. The Rock would have to dial it down big time.
Shadow is pretty much, as his name states, a shadow. He doesn't have much of a personality. He is simply there as our connection to the story. I think the Rock's presence is too much for the character.

That's probably true. Non-book readers would be put off by his understated personality, I think.
