Really good season
I liked the last three guys all had successful different methods of finding food sources (big game, fishing, and trapping)
Felt terrible for Aaron, guy was broken physically and mentally but a very though dude
LOL at Ziga interviewing the moose, and then at the end saying stupid moose or something along those lines. His brother coming in with the whistle was a good moment as well

This was a great season. This season was right up there with Season 7. Both had 3 80+ day contestants. I'm glad Ziga won. He was mostly fun to watch.
I think it was really the cold that got to Aaron.
One of my friends and I say that if our husband went on this show and tapped after 3-4 days or even 10 because they missed us, we'd be kicking his arse and wanting to send him back out there!

Fantastic season that really flourished once it got down to the last 4 or 5. I feel for Aaron and Nero knowing how much they tortured themselves just to walk away empty handed. Ziga could’ve stayed out there for ever. I was surprised he still had a ton of frozen berries at the end. Lack of food wasn’t going to do him in. He was the warmest and had the strongest mind out of final three.
He shot the moose on day 17 and it took him two days to get it so he lived off that moose for 50 days. I know he supplemented with hare, but still that’s impressive. I’d like to know how much of that moose he still had remaining at the end.
Ziga is easily in the Alone Hall of Fame. He’s a beast.

I would like for them to try something new next season. Every time someone leaves let them all know. I would like to see how that would change how the remaining people would strategize. If say on day 60 there are still like 4 or 5 people left they would probably try riskier things knowing it's still going to be a while to win.

Man I wasn't in a hurry to watch the episode because I thought we said there were 15 episodes this season so I thought it would still be a few weeks until the finale.
Overall one of the best seasons ever. I thought about you during this episode because they were getting like 1 hour of daylight by the end so it was much more talking and a lot less doing and I was thinking man I know Teddy is hating this
Glad Ziga won. He deserved it and he was mentally and physically prepared to be out there for a long time. Definitely could have went 100+ days I think. That two day moose hunt/kill is an all time great Alone moment.
You could see Aaron coming, he just kept beating himself up and making little small mistakes. And he legit never stopped thinking about missing that moose. Talked about it all the time. He was a good contestant but just another one taken out because of their head space and not survival skills. Guy was eating a bunny a day for 80+ days. Not many people that haven't killed big game have eaten that good.
Nero was slightly surprising (especially since I didn't think that was the finale) because mentally he was in a good spot. I mean until the scene he tapped out he was staying positive. All of a suddenly they cut to him and he's like "Now is my time."
Good season. Slightly disappointed we don't get an Australia to fill the time in between seasons.

I'll allow it on day 80+ when they are just sitting in their shelters freezing their asses off all the time. but to that point, I think it's important that they build a shelter that they can actually move inside of, mainly that they can completely stand up in. I understand they want it as small as possible for heat retention, but it just seems like if you had some room to move around and at least stand up, it would go a long way in helping the morale when it gets to point where they are stuck in their shelter for 20 hours a day.
