Hispanic dude is the only one with a decent flexible wood rod for fly fishing. The others seem to not know what they are doing. Just watching them trying to cast and you know they've never really fly fished before, or have limited knowledge. No correct elbow action and not letting it settle behind or forward with the arm straight up from the elbow. And you can only roll cast so far with a tree as your rod. I guess I find myself rooting for Terry and the Hispanic so far.

Next Episode was on last night...

Terry was medically tapped due to excessive weight loss and diminishing health.

He displayed the fastest decline that I recall seeing on this show after a little over 40 days..When he pulled his shirt up he was emaciated and It was obvious he was declining rapidity. He was getting food but was more worried about preserving it than consuming it and that bit him in the butt.

Sorry to see Terry go. He admitted he got complacent once he got the beaver. He stopped hunting and his fishing sucks.

Tom looked to be in great shape but they are teasing us with his health issues. I think he will snap out of it. Just a pump fake.

Adam looks good. He can hunt and his demeanor is upbeat.

Karie Lee is toast soon.

I like the Asian guy. He seems like he is particularly suited for survival but we will see if you can find enough food.

Remember that contestant that got removed a few seasons ago due to his weight loss and physical condition even though he had plenty of fish dried for him to eat? He just wasn't fit enough at that medical check to continue and they pulled him.

I think the gal who spent over 40 days building her "Hodge-Podge Lodge" is going to be next to go. Too much time spent on building a shelter and not enough time getting food, but also not enough time scouting and getting food to sustain her.

I remember it scrolling across the screen last episode she had not had any protein in 5 days and spent that time finishing her lodge.

Still haven’t seen anyone actually spot a bear

It’s really something how you need to keep hunting and foraging even while you have a fresh kill in camp. That’s one advantage of fishing over killing a small mammal or a grouse - the time it takes to prep and eat them is less so you have more time to go look for more food.

That’s why I say Adam seems to be in a good spot. He can get grouse literally in his front yard. Once winter comes, who knows. His shelter is good but can he feed himself

Assume you guys saw the previews for the spin loft series. I think it is called Alone Frozen. I hope it gets more than two episodes like Alone the Beast.

Sucks that they don’t have means to use a gill net, that’s the perfect way to try for low effort food while doing other projects.

Finally got caught up on this season. I’m wondering if the beaver wasn’t both those guys downfall. It seems like their health declined rapidly after eating it. Especially when the scrapes the fat off the skin. It was like the beaver had parasites are something.

I'm less than half way through last nights show but I hope Karie Lee taps/gets pulled soon. Can't stand her dumb songs and doing her nasty smile for the camera.

We had 2 taps last night. Both medical.

Tom's fall last week got worse and then he tore his knee up and that was game over.

Jessie started vomiting and couldn't stop and when she failed to reply to her check up call they sent out a team to find her in a bad way. They edited in a way that made you think for a second they found her possibly dead..well played.

This is an interesting season because several people are getting food yet we are seeing more medical taps than I recall.

Now that we are in the mid-40's on days with I think 5 people left we will see which player has the chops to make it.

This is Adam's game to lose right? Best shelter, good attitude, seems to be a good hunter.

Tom was a good contestant, but he was ready to go home. That last fall off the log was completely planned. He skateboarded down the log, jumped off and layed down. I rewound it and actually laughed on the second watch it was so fake.

He has nothing to be ashamed of though, he was good, but he was done.

Jessie was actually pretty messed up. I mean that was a lot of projectile vomiting

I'm actually low key rooting for Juan Pablo. He is the only contestant that actually know how to fly fish and made a correct rod. Pretty impressed by him. I just assumed drinking unfiltered water would eventually catch up with him though. Him not wanting to eat the fish he caught is a bad sign.

I have no idea how Teijmojan (or however you spell it) is shooting all these birds given the way he grips his bow. He does a full fist grip that he grips inches below the knocked arrow. Not only that he pulls it back and holds it back to aim. Pulling back and holding it is the best way to not hit your target with a longbow/recurve. But it's working for him.

Suzie might be the weirdest person to ever be on the show. She's kind of a badass, but man she is weird.

He's definitely got the odds in his favor.

I liked Tom, loved his chimney, hated to see him go.

Jessie got tunnel vision and went completely bonkers in the same vein as Dave from Season 5.

After re-watching that series of events I have to agree with you. That first fall where her hurt his back did him in and he was just looking for a way out to save face. He had the camera conveniently placed so his knee injury could be caught on film.

He's not the first person that's created a way to tap in a way that doesn't look like a quitter. I recall a guy from one of the earlier seasons that made an outrigger and "fell int to the water" and he was quick make the call to tap to avoid hypothermia. He didn't even try to warm up. So it happens.

Well, the latest ep just dropped and it took us to day 52 and Adam ran out of gas and tapped. I think most of us felt he was in the best position to win but the combination of being homesick and loss of energy broke him. His shelter was one of the better one's and it's unfortunate he couldn't finish.

Here's whose left:

JUAN PABLO

TEIMOJIN

KARIE LEE

While Karie Lee has a great attitude, at 57, I have to wonder how her age is going to affect her. Does she have 20-30 days left? Being near her age I would like to see her pull it off even though I have my doubts.

I'm on the fence about Teimojin. He has the skills but is he missing the girlfriend too much?

Juan Pablo is my new favorite. He appears to have his mind in a good place.

2 more episode left. It's been a good season.
