Fox eventually agreed to make Deadpool R-Rated because Ryan Reynolds agreed to 1. Take on a low salary for the first installment, 2. Have a very small budget for a blockbuster movie (under $60 million) and 3. A general understanding that if the movie was a flop, he was effectively done at FOX.

The Gamble paid off. Marvel needs to do the same thing for Deadpool that they are doing for Spiderman in regards to ratings. When he is at FOX in his solo outings, R-Rated and doing whatever he wants to. When he is in the mainline MCU as a part of those movies, PG-13.

I also think it would be wise for Disney to film a PG-13 cut of Deadpool 3 or whatever it winds up being called as well, and if you have a lick of sense, you know why.

I'm fine with this, as long as Deadpool is allowed to be Deadpool. I'm even fine with Deadpool being apart of the MCU. But the standalones need to be R rated and on par with the first two.

I think it would be easy for Deadpool to go PG-13. He makes a comment that's a little risque, one of the avengers says something about them not really talking like that. Then Deadpool turns to the camera and makes a joke about PG-13, cash cow, blockbusters or something and that he'll play along.

Or bleep him and make him aware of it like mentioned earlier.

Really depends what direction they go with him.

The current movie version plays up the foul mouthed ultra violent aspects.

The comics version has occasionally played up the insanity angle a bit more.

Witness Deadpool’s demand in exchange for helping the X-Men take out Cable-
