The Nostromo and Ripley are already in space at this point. The missions they are in take a really long time. The Maginot was off earth for 65 years. Aliens was decades behind Alien. We are around the same time as Alien. I've seen nothing that contridicts any time line yet. Only the black goo vs zygote had changed.
Again is Cannon Yajuta spread xenomorphs for hunting reasons or that Davud created them? Or both or neither?
Does it really matter?

Also, the Ginger girl is going to have a full on break. It's like her mind is rejecting her body (almost like body dysmorphia). Interesting to see where they take that.

Cannot blame her. They design you a synthetic body and its this ugly special needs looking chick face.

I feel like they went out of there way to find average looking actors. No one is really great looking or looks bad. Maybe it makes them easier to blend in. If they were all Livvy Dunnes they would never blend in.

Yes. Her face aggravates me every time it’s on screen with her eyes.

Binged the 3 available episodes last night.

The start was a little slow, but understandable as they are introducing a whole new group of characters (including the intro fodder) and some new ideas.

Second episode brought the viewer up to speed. Third episode pushed the gas all the way to the floor.

Got into a discussion with a co-worker who theorized that all the kids were autistic (his only reasoning for Wendy's initial reaction to her new boobs). I had to remind him that these were kids, barely or not even into puberty and who likely had a bit of stunted emotional growth due to their illnesses causing everyone to give them more protection than they would with healthy kids, and that these kids were suddenly put into older, healthy bodies. That sort of change is going to cause lots of interesting observations from them and they aren't going to instantly adapt overnight (the show actually refers to a bit of this in their discourse on psychological growth).

Sort of wishing I had waited for the full season to be released, but at the same time I'm glad I didn't.

I like the idea of releasing one episode a week. Allows a little bit of buzz to build, creates anticipation for the next episode. There's a reason that was the model for so many years.

Why in the hell did the Xeno take the brother away from the eggs?

And why aren’t face huggers hopping out of eggs the minute a human is around?

That’s like their whole thing.

But unlike you I don't just repeat The critical drinker and nerdrotic.

Pt. 2

Except I never have.

I’m watching this show. All 3 eps so far.

Nerdrotic had a viewing stream which I ignored completely. For the very reason you erroneously believe I watch his videos. Because I wanted to form my own opinion.

It’s funny because so much of what you wish to believe was true simply isn’t. Some of y’all just cannot process that somebody doesn’t like something for their own valid reasons.

It took me a second re watch, to really understand this. I missed a lot the first time I watched the epsodie and really came off confused. But the way the characters behave really act in that manor.

But its about to turn into Jurassic Park though, with Synthetic Billy Idol running around.

So. Who knows where this goes.

Ok. Saying never is straight up crazy. This one time. You legit are in almost every thread on this board parroting Nerdrotic, even calling him Gary like he's some friend of yours. It's not like I'm the only one who's noticed or called you on it. I'm glad though you finally decided to watch a show instead of watching a video about a show to form an opinion.

Plenty of people don't like content for their own reasons. Though USUALLY you don't even watch the content being discussed. Then you and Madking are step in step every time.

See, that's the myth that someone (don't care, doesn't matter) thought it a funny way to dismiss my views without having to actually deal with any specific points. Then lazy lemmings piled on, because it's the easy message board thing to do.

And others have called him by his actual name. I've just followed suit. That's not weird, you're just highlighting it to bolster your weak argument.

I found his channel years ago and have found over time that as a fellow Gen Xer we have common tastes in some areas, not everything. Which I kinda find interesting as he was raised in CA while I am from the South East. Not terribly uncommon, but when I find a writer, youtuber or someone that sees things as I do, with similar timeline experiences and their views hold up over months and years, it just makes sense.

.

Again, another lazy, 'out of hand' dismissal that's been proven to be factually baseless. I've seen far more original source material content than most on here, and I have no NEED to watch of the weak imitation trash that's trying to present itself as being on par with what was made in the past. I've explained this 100's of times by now and yet you still pretend to not understand.

i saw Jurassic Park at least half a dozen times, in theatre, after having read the book. Which I still own, btw., So when I say I know the source material, as put out by the actual writer ( be it Crichton, Tolkien, etc.. ) you yapping about me 'not watching' something is hilarious. It's you, not me, who doesn't know what you're talking about.

And why do you focus on what others say or think? I don't pair up people who loooove Acolyte and then accuse them of being in step with each other.

Yours is an odd obsession.

Jurassic Park was 30 years ago. What's that got to do with anything?
Your schtick is that you repeat what drinker and Gary have to say about most shows. If they like a show you and mk do too. If they hate it. You hate it.
You'll claim you don't waste time waybill garbage shows but then watch hours of YouTube rants any the show you claim to hate. You can lie and tell me I'm lying but you've been figured out long long ago. Your a punchline here. Noting more.

Exactly my point. I've been watching this stuff for longer than some here have been alive.

It's not 'schtick'. I know it may make you feel better about yourself to believe that's the case, but as I've explained multiple times, you're coming in late to the party & fail to understand.

quote:

If they hate it. You hate it.

You claim, without evidence. Hell, even when I show evidence to the contrary, you still parrot that nonsense.

And I don't 'claim' to hate anything, save for Rings of Power. I just don't watch them. I make fun of bad stuff when I see idiots fawn over sequels or remakes for shows which were vastly superior in their original form.

You see, you don't get what's going on. Hollywood has taken time tested proven IPs and decided they'll make them 'better', and screw the older fans. The NEW fans will carry on these updated versions for the next 20 to 30 years! The suits think they can just shovel out slop and expect the dumb masses to feed at the trough, like was done before, but failing to understand the craft and effort it took to make Raiders of the Lost Ark, Star Wars, or even stuff from a few years ago, like the Marvel shows on Netflix.
