The wife and I just finished it and we both want more.

Basically, the story revolves around a character named Arisu who gets transported to a mirror image of Tokyo where everyone else is gone and they have to play deadly games to survive.

It is on Netflix.

Show had ups and downs emotionally, good characters, and better visuals than a DC superhero movie.

9/10 in Scruffy’s opinion.

The 7 Heart game that had to play almost had us quit the show, but we are Damn glad we didn’t.

Closest thing to IRL anime I’ve seen. Love the plot device to have women conveniently in bathing suits for half the show

You know it’s a chick in real life right?

And yeah that 7 hearts game-did not expect that. I like the tie ins to Alice in Wonderland and trying to figure out who is playing which character. Some are obvious of course.

Was waiting on somebody to start a thread on this. I binged it in 2 days and am obsessed with it. Can’t fricking wait for season 2

Ep 3/game 3 was brutal. I thought for sure they’d find a loop hole and a way out

Just finished it. I really enjoyed it. Felt like a mix of Black Mirror/Hunger Games/Saw. This is definitely a good show if you are looking for something different.

Great show. Shows like this continue to show why Netflix will continue to be on top. How many foreign shows are other streamers producing? Especially that other markets are watching.

This, casa de papel, and dark show how Netflix is changing the market by creating local language shows that greatly expand their reach into other territories but also have viewership in America. No one else can say the same right now.

This thread intrigues me. I watched the trailer and have a question. Is the dubbing distracting? Because it was for me in the trailer. Is that easy to get past?

I don’t ever watch dubs. They almost universally suck.

I watched the subs.

Don’t ever ever do dub. I understand reading subtitles can be off putting but after you get used to it you don’t even realize you’re reading anymore. People that don’t watch shows due to subtitles are missing out on some great foreign filmmaking

I use subtitles a ton. Although I would prefer not to since it does distract you from actually watching the scene. But I have to with a baby and having to keep the volume down.

So you can watch it sans dubbing then? That’s good to know. Because the trailer was dubbed and it was sort of weird.
