Damn. What a shitty way to start a Thursday. The guy could play villains perfectly. I was hoping we'd get to see him make a guest appearance on Brooklyn Nine-Nine at some point. Given Samberg's character's obsession with Die Hard it would have been gold. frick cancer man.

Gruber is an all time great villain. Tough loss for the film industry.
And yeah, he's the best part of Robin Hood, no doubt. Snape. Love Actually, Galaxy Quest, etc. Just great at what he does.

I totally forgot about him playing as Colonel Brandon in Sense and Sensibility. He really had a way of playing anywhere between a villain and a completely honorable guy without being stuck in either persona.
