Sabin arguing with a space donkey for four minutes was not exactly the height of cinema or exciting. The episode was boring, the only thing it accomplished was introducing two characters that we knew about anyway; and it took 40 minutes to do basically nothing. Literally NOTHING of substance happened in 40 minutes of television. The fact is they are relying on legacy, uncanonized property as a blueprint for this show and they are doing a poor job of adapting it.

So far the series has been hit and miss.

Rebels and Clone Wars characters aren’t legacy, uncanonized property. Thrawn was, but came back into the fold several years ago.

This series is quickly becoming the best of the bunch. If you want to rank Mando S1-2 higher, fine. But it is among the best that has been done so far. * Andor is also great but episodes 1 and 2 are unwatchable.

The only thing I can see them bringing in from Legends is Abeloth. Who could be the entity that is calling to Baylen. She was "The Mother" but was corrupted and eventually exiled by The Father. Outside of that everything to me seems pretty canonized.

This is a bad take, even for the “OMG I don’t watch cartoons!” crowd.

All of these characters were developed over multiple seasons of tv. None of them are mary sue’s, they’re all flawed in different ways. Each have complex motivations and depth. Complaining about the lack of that in this series is like watching Avengers: Endgame and complaining because no one explained any of the characters to you. Sorry you chose not to watch a sequel without watching the media that it’s building from. That’s on you.

As for pacing, it was a little weird at times, but I enjoyed getting to breathe a little on this planet and explore it. We got to see a little about each character’s personality and motivations. This episode did a great job of showing, not telling about the world and the situation. I am not sure what more you’d want out if it.

They are trying to prop up star wars on the backs of Heir to the Empire trilogy minus Luke Skywalker. That triology is a legacy, uncanonized story. Thrawn's character in Rebels was ok, but nothing spectacular. As I said, the series has been hit or miss. 1&2 were slow but ok. Episode 3 was meh to terrible, the space Asoka was not good. 4 was much better. Part Five was the best of the episodes. I enjoyed the personal journey for Ahsoka. The last episode was boring and almost useless.

I watched clone wars and rebels. I like both series. The problem with most star wars fans today is there are two camps.

The ones that hate the force is female crap and look for any reason to hate it. The other camp is we love star wars no matter what dribble they put out. I fall in neither of these camps. If its good, then I will say that, if its bad then I will say that. Episode 6 was bad and boring. The episode did a crap job of telling any story and was boring has hell.

It is sad, because the most interesting character beside Ahsoka is the Baylon character and he gets very little screen time. Talk about wasting a good actor and potential character. This would have been a good place to balance out the previous episode with more about his backstory and motivations instead of cryptic one liners all the time.

Well, to be honest. Ahsoka wasn't a bitch in rebels, like she was in the first few episodes of this series. She fought alongside the crew and everyone for the most part got along. Sabine, for all of her faults wasn't some lonely, pouting emo like she is in this series. She was energetic, brave. Not super reckless like she's being portrayed here. That is my only real issue with Filoni's job here. He created these characters for Rebels, and has brought them into this series. So either it's the writing, or he is trying to turn them into something they aren't. Now in his defense, Ahsoka's trip to the WBW has seemed to turn her back into the version that was in season 4 of rebels.

What did you want from this episode that you didn’t get? I thought this episode helped resolve a couple plot points while also opening up several new avenues. It seemed to simultaneously advance the plot and set up a ton of interesting opportunities for future episodes. The stuff with Sabine and the wolf seemed like classic star wars of learning to trust instincts over technology. She also lied, which sets up potential conflicts.

Sabine strikes me as a flawed character who is designed to not be liked so that she can grow through her struggles and experiences to become likable. Sabine has absolutely not “girl powered” through this season. She loses constantly and has really done nothing but struggle and f$&k up.

Ahsoka struggled with her personality and went through a whole arse arc last episode. Hera hasn’t had much of an arc, but she’s been mostly a side character. Ray’s character continues to add layers worth exploring. We just finally met up with Ezra and Thrawn.

What did this episode not do for you?

This is spot on analysis. Sabin was not this horrible in rebels. She reminds me of the Emo Kylo Rinn twitter account from years ago.

Sabine does not wear Beskar armor in this series, she wears plot armor. She was literally shot 5 times in the episode last night with no ill effect and ran through with a light saber in episode one with a bit of a burn mark. I am not sure what you people think that is, but its boring and pointless action that serves no purpose. That entire fight sequence was for nothing more than to show her girl power. She is going to beat up 5 armored guys on her own after being shot 5 times.

I always disliked Sabine in rebels. She was always reckless, immature, and impulsive, hiding behind false bravado. I can see why failing in jedi training and losing Ezra and Kanan would lead her down the angsty path.

A lot happened between the end of Rebels and the current timeline. I think it’s understandable that Ahsoka and Sabine are different people, even if you don’t like it.

Legacy is a totally different world in Star Wars. None of the Legacy characters are used in Ahsoka, or anything Disney has produced for that matter. Legacy is a storyline that is based 100 years pasty any source material out right now and tells a totally new story.

I think you are meaning to say Legends but for some reason refer to it as legacy.

She was wearing her armor. They even showed the blaster bolts sparking off the armor.

It was a 30 second bit. Lol at trying to say it was 4 minutes of time.

Well not only did they show it reflecting off of her beskar...she shows the Noti her rebel symbol and it's clearly on her armor.

I just wanted to make sure we were talking about the same thing.

I didn't want to seem a fool commenting on something you said; if we are talking about two totally different things.

They are opposite of Stormtroopers, they hit the exact spot on the armor the plot needs them to hit.

I guess the bandits on that planet are just as bad of shots as the troopers.
