Interstellar is great, but The Prestige is the best movie on that list by a wide margin. It’s easily his best film and I’d argue it’s one of the best movies of this century. It’s that good IMO.
agreed. we've been into space movies since PHM and my wife watched Arrival the other day and said she wishes she could watch it again for the first time.
I responded with I wish that every time I watched the Prestige my mind wiped Men In Black style and I forget that I've seen it.
I like Interstellar more as a complete spectacle of the film that's a world changing event (it's my #2 all time movie,) but Prestige is a perfect self-contained film and I'd agree that it's top 10 for the century.

I really liked all those movies except maybe the Dark Knight Rises.
I loved the Prestige. I also enjoyed the Illusionist that I saw thinking it was the prestige. I was like “huh I thought Christian Bale was in this but what are the odds of 2 1800 magician movies being made at the same time”

Arrival is probably the best SciFi movie made in the last 25 years. It is better than Interstellar though it is not as big a movie.
Just so well done.

The first of his I watched was Insomnia in 02 and I have liked him ever since. His dialogue is pretty mediocre but he does have great set pieces.

Jordan Peele is over employed. Not sure he's well rated
How can he be over employed when he's directed 3 feature films in eight years (all produced by his own company)?

Because that's 3 more than he should have directed?

I didn't care for Interstellar, Tenet, Dunkirk, or Oppenheimer. He knocks everything else out of the park.

No. He clearly not overrated.

You are welcome to this take but I am welcome to call it wild.

Did not care for Interstellar or Dunkirk. Other stuff is good.
Arrival is better in that there's a whole lot less of Mccounahey (sp). Fine actor but for me, a little goes a long way.
